Well, we had a very exciting day! I was heading to a friend's house this morning when my oldest (16) called me and told me she had passed out and woke up face first on our tile bathroom floor!

I turned around right away and headed for home. I called the doc and they advised me to take her to the ER where we spent several hours watching her be poked, prodded, squeezed, questioned and nuked (CT Scan) before they finally decided she was really dehydrated and had experienced a common thing that I'd never heard of (Vaso-vagal response). At least we know all her stuff is working properly other than being dehydrated!

Then, because I'm sure my babies knew I'd had a rough day they left me their first presents!

I went out to the coop to check on them and there were two beautiful little beginner eggs sitting in the nest box that my one previously laying hen uses! I don't know who done it but I don't really care at the moment! I have one brown and one very light pink egg. My older EE gives me a green one so she took the day off. I have a BO, a BR and another EE that all looked close to laying so I'm thinking it's two of those three. Sorry for the crumby pic, it's a cell phone.

We are having summer again just because you missed the last one...

I will see if there is a 'clean' photo of Miss Macy somewhere in my albums...I just painted her picture for my sis' birthday...so I must have some pictures of her cleaned up.

More Macie, I always spell her name wrong...she looks different in every photo...

Is she cute or what ?
She hates the little bows from the doggie salon...and sister says she will cry and big tears come down until she takes the bows out...weird.
My sister has had 3 or 4 of these nonsense tzus...and a few Lhasa Apsos...(sp?)
DH just came in all mad that "Chink munks are trying to get into the big boat they are chewing on the tow (snap down) cover tring to make a hole" He is upset !
The boat has been here what, a week ?
And has Chipmunks already !!!
Then he went into his shop and there was another on the workbench barking at him and stomping his little feet like he owned the place !

Enough about everything but chickens...I am insulating the coops...with pink fiberglass batts in this heat (ITCHY) But I know I will rest easy this winter when it is 10 degrees again !
Or lower?

My Miss Macy is a Havanese. She is named after the Macy's day parade. So she must have came to live next door last November, or eary . She can be quite the little pill, but at least she has taught Ms Zoe how to give her the cheese.

************I have let the 5 month old Guinea Keets loose today in the hen yard, and the big girls are almost afraid of the weird little birds...they are all in a corner shooting the stink eye at the keets, and the keets are not paying any attention to the hens...man they make the strangest noises !
