I GOT 9 EGGS TODAY FROM 9 POL PULLETS!!! (I have 2 more babies also, but still considering it a 100% day!!) WOOHOO!!!! They are simply gorgeous. I had a realllly hard time cracking them open into our shakes for dinner tonight. Here's the lineup by size! And a pretty circle just because I'm obsessed

Urban Enthusiast - My favorite Easter Egger Martha lays the blue-green egg. It's quite pretty in person! The green egg right next to it is laid by her sister. I HATE that and really wish they both laid the blue egg!!

I don't think that I have reached out you folks yet, but us chicken friends could use some help. We are facing an 80% reduction in people who can legally have chickens in Michigan. We had the best protection in the nation, but now we are facing a major change in the rules that allow chickens and bees and farm markets here. If this proposal passes, we face losing the "farm" products that sustain us.

Well it looks like I may not be here for a few days. It's OK go ahead and celebrate.
See I was informed today that there is a new radiant heat system being delivered Thursday for the stables. Seems I have been tasked with the installation which means I have until next Monday to read the online manuals and figure out how to do this before they pour concrete over it on Tuesday.
This may prove to be rather interesting considering I know nothing about radiant heat.

JB, I still have not butchered the other 18 Cornish X...my knee is almost trustworthy to stand & hang onto the sink~~~~~~~~~~
I am planning on tomorrow morning.....the birds cannot waite much longer.

It's good to know that you leg is still hanging on to you. I am amazed that those Cornish are still hanging on. They must be the size of a small turkey by now.
