I am amazed you could destroy what so many of us would love to have as a coop floor.

I had thought about that, but they were dead center (not where I wanted to put the coop or shed) and taking up a good portion of my already small city lot. With a 6 hen limit, I don't need a coop that big and we have plans to sell this place in the next year or two, to get some real land. That in mind, I think a potential buyer looking at a house in the city would rather have a nice yard their kids can play on than big, oddly placed concrete slabs. If I find a nice slab like that on the property I end up buying where I can have all the chicks I want, you can be sure I'll be using it to it's full potential

I am guessing that my disclaimer may have scared off those who may have been thinking of meeting me. Well if so that sucks. Actually my intended point was that if you have had issues with me on here and think you may not like me, well it may be best we don't meet.
While I may be very opinionated and speak my mind. I really feel that those who have met me and had a chance to get to know me won't have much bad to say. Not that I am perfect but I sincerely for the most part try to be a good person and treat others well.
So hopefully some of us can meet up at the sale and start clean. And how will ya know me well ask itsren or Justahannah. They didn't seem to any problem at all in all the people there last week!!

No need to be scared of CR... he's a nice guy! He's funny - and a jokester. Lots of laughs. If you can get to the auction to meet him, do it. I'll be swinging by with my kids toward the end of the auction.

Oh boy! William just got into a yellow jacket nest and got stung 10 times! He's only 2!

Poor guy is a tough little booger and is just sitting watching a movie, but I bet he'll be knocked out soon. About 5 of the 10 stings were swelling like crazy so we gave him a huge (for his age) dose of Benadryl and put a baking soda paste with bandaids over the worst ones. What a rotten day for him! Isaac is leaving now to pick up some spray for the front yard to get rid of the nest. Argh!!!!!

Hey - How's William (I always want to call him Lil-Bill :D ) doing?

I saw that on the news. :(

Dave, how are you guys where you are at? You OK?

Nothing really close to us - but the smoke was very 'thick' yesterday. It was really the first time that I was able to smell/taste the smoke - was worse towards the evening. I live about 15 minutes west of Yakima, surrounded by orchards so I should be just fine. There are no flames or smoke rising that I can see, it is mostly just not drifting away quickly.

Being around the smoke is bad enough.

I'm hoping for rain for all of you!
