I wonder if your new EE is already broody? If she's sitting on eggs but not laying?

Many times I have had a pullet JUST AT POL...seriously has laid just a few eggs, suddenly go broody.
Just a few days ago a BCM 5 1/2 mo old, laid about 3 eggs so far, went into the ZONE...she was easy to break though, I just hucked her into a strange coop, and the occupants kept her active !

When I had mine done, it was a two-appt. ordeal - and I think that was standard. But, I had to have a crown, too. All of my root canals have been because I cracked my teeth. I'm a grinder.

So is my daughter. Oh, it drives me nuts. I wish I could figure out a way to protect her from a lifetime of teeth-grinding.

Get her a night guard (made by a dentist). It helps *so* much. I had terrible headaches caused by jaw clenching for a couple of years, and almost over night the headaches were gone after I got the night guard. You can buy them over the counter too, but the one from the dentist fits much nicer.

I finally got a diagnosis for why I am having much pain and stiffness in my hips. I may explain most of the pain issues besides. I seem to have a form of arthritis called Ankylosing Spondylitis. So far what I have learned is that I am not going to have any fun with it, and I will not get any better over time. Still it is a relief to know that it is real, and not just in my head. I have spent way too many years being told, and thinking that I am somehow making up the pain. At least now I can know that there is a real reason for the pain.

Oh man, that is not fun at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's so nice to finally find out you really are not a crazy hypocondriac, isn't it ??? Such a relief !!!!!!!

I have several dentist friends, and they have reported that since the housing market dropped, and so many folks went into foreclosure & job losses, that cracked teeth/and the resulting root canal/crowns tripled.
Bummer that most were unemplyed & therefore had no insurance, but they were under going the most stress, and manifested as bruxism...or what you call "night grinding".

I am cruising quilt patterns & trepunto....love trepunto.
My neighbor Cassie just picked up feed for me, she is such a sweetie !!!!!!!!!!

I am giving her a few nice birds that she will pick up tomorrow, 2 Black Java pullets at POL, and an awesome blue/black Jersey Giant Cockerel.
A coyote has been getting her others...hopefull the big JG will be alittle more intimidating and protect her flock better.
In the mean time, she is beefing up her pens.
