I can make it, Thursday would be better so I could stay longer. But I can do Friday I will just have to leave sooner than I would want to. See this year our teachers decided they want to be out of school early on Fridays, so starting this Friday our kids get out 75min early.

I've got pages of posts to go back and read. I'll get to it later. (Reminder to self: 8646)

This is what I've been working on this morning while I was on a long call with the Autism Center. These are for my gift boxes of eggs for the neighbors. I'll attach the tag with a pretty bow. I'm hoping for 3 eggs today so the first box can go out to one of the neighbors this evening. I'm hoping to get enough eggs to deliver a box each week to the neighbors that surround my house.

My goofy chicken hat came this morning. It is so cute! I love it.
This is such a beautiful idea! Great job on that and I love the pic of your girls too.
Quote: Thanks TerrorBird, yes I will be there. I will make sure to get there early so that if anyone elts shows up early I have just a bit more time sense I will have to leave after only a short time.
Just dropped off 7 bantam cochins with Sarah/Farmin Momma! Got the incubator jam packed full again, so needed to off load some more birds!

Still have extra Serama and Olive Egger cockerels if anybody is interested in them! Rainwolf and Chickielady, I know I owe you both photo's of Seramas/BLRW.....will try and get them done in the next day or so!!!!

Quote: LOL that is funny that you already have more in the bator. I thought you said somthing about down sizeing a bit, could be wrong maybe you said up sizeing!

Thank you for such beautiful birds. They are all in their temp. and seperate houses, untill the run gets finnished and their transition time is over.

As my SIL and I left, I recalled that someone here had mentioned stopping by the Monroe feed store and that they had chicks. Well that is the way we were going anyways to get home because they shut down hwy522 (which made me late to pick up the new birds) Ssssoooo..... We went there just to take a quick peek see. Not that I brought home 8 little chicks or anything, oh wait yeah I did
hide.gif
. Now I have 15 chicks in the house, do you think DH will notice that the number went up from 7? Depends on how loud they are whild he is watching TV after work. We'll see how long it takes him.

Woohoo! The first egg has pipped!!!!

LOL!!! So what chickies did you get at Monroe Farm & Feed???

Yes, I am downsizing larger/older/adult birds so that I can have more BABIES!!!!! LOL!!!

I hear ya about Friday's. Our school district has had 2 half day fridays each month for the last few years. Now it's EVERY friday, unless it's a short week. And this month, we have NO school this friday and another one in two weeks!!!! Crazy!!! But I am glad at least it's on Friday. I think Lake Washington does half day Wednesdays. That makes no sense to me at all!!!!

Love rosemary.... how do you make roasted rosemary taters???
Dice the spuds (use a thin skin like yukon golds) roll in EVOO to coat, then stick in a zip lock with rosemary & if you can have it, smashed bread crumbs.
Lay on a baking sheet, add S&P to taste, maybe chopped parsley, and bake til tender.
We do asparagus this way also, but no rosemary.

Edited to add a recipe, but change it however, you have to have oil & rosemary.
We do not add garlic.

On another note, why not wash the eggs first ?
Alot of people are so grossed out by potentially poopy eggs.................

I have been in a total cooking mood today too. Tonight we are making Broccoli Anchovy pasta, this recipe: http://www.bakespace.com/recipes/detail/Jamie-Oliver’s-Broccoli-Orecchiette/26168/

It's a family favorite and even though the chickie on that website says she leaves out the Anchovies, the dish would not be the same without it!!!! Youngest DD has a Cross Country Meet tomorrow and requested this pasta dish for dinner.

I have to go pick up oldest DD in about an hour, when I get back I am making a double batch of zuccini bread/muffins........we have them coming out of our ears! Than tomorrow I am making a couple of quiches.

I think fall is in the air for sure! Did you all hear the wind last night! It was blowing pretty loudly here!!!

RonB, who is your broody doing??? I forget when hatch day is??? How about your other teenagers? Mom bored with them yet?
I bookmarked that recipe !
We love anchovies here !!!

Oh, and Crockpot Applesauce! Our apple trees did pretty well this year. Just picked a bunch and am about to throw in a batch! Can't wait to smell it!!! LoL!!!
Cook the applesauce for 3 days, and keep adding apples to keep the pot full, until day 3, and the stuff will be brown, add cinnemon and presto !!!!!!!!!!!!
When the spoon sticks straight up you have apple butter, water bath can it !!
I do add lemon juice also, so it is zippier !!!!
