Okay I officially have nasty little stinky dogs!!!!!! Somewhere here in my maintained mowed yesterday backyard. The dogs are rolling in something that smells truly nasty. They came in earlier, and were basically wet.
Now I am good at ignoring things until it starts to smell, but really serious ick.(I don't have a good sense of smell by the way. If I can smell it it's not good) Two days ago the kids mother was smelled nasty, and I didn't figure it out until bedtime. She slept in the family room that night. I will not wash dogs at 1 am. She was not a happy camper, but I am not sleeping with a stinky nasty little dog.
So the next day, I finally get around to it and wash 5 out 6 nasty little dogs. They are now sweet smelling, and all is forgiven. There are now treats around for the gang, and we all crash into a loving pile of puppies and a happy snuggly mama.
Then this afternoon, I am happily learning about things I didn't even know I wanted to learn about ( I love Wikipedia), when the 2 babies come in wet. I have not been a benevolent chicken mama today, and I didn't let the chickies out.(so no Chicken poop for the dogs to roll in) The girls had the yard all day yesterday, and today was for the dogs, and so that mama (me) doesn't have to clean all the chicken poop up. I will not leave poop on the new patio. And I think that it's better to wash it into the lawn. (God I hope I am right about that theory.) So now all should be low key at my house today. Then the afore mentioned events happen. Okay I am not freaked yet, but I am certain that nothing good is happening. So just a bit of go, I lean down (That is what wrong about small dogs verses big dogs you have to lean down) and I take a sniff. OMG and other things come to mind. The 2 nasty stinky little dogs are into the sink, and are now wash and smelling much better. Treats around and the puppies are happy.
Mama is not happy. There is something in my very lovely suburban backyard that is stinky and can be rolled around in, very ick and it's like wet now. I am rather grossed out, and that's not easy. I am a lady that has had to put nasty dead things in my freezer, because you can't bury them when the ground in frozen solid and I have helped do the meat birds in. I don't gross out easily, but I know that in the morning I cannot ignore what awaits me to find.
There is something wet, stinky and gross in my backyard. It must be in one of the gardens. I am afraid that it might be a dead chicken. That would make me a very bad mother. One of the girls must have died, and I here was sure that they are all in the coop. I really do look around and check that they are all there, but chickens are very bad about lining, and allowing me to take roll call.
Okay after I find what smells bad, the day should get a lot better right? If something is dead it's done and over, and I can't do anything but learn from the experience. I will just have to keep saying, that it will be better, when it's done and over. At least Puppy doesn't stink. That is a very good thing that is a lot of dog to wash. Okay I think I might feel better. UF DA! I am going to need a glass of wine tonight. Maybe more than one.
