I figured I would post this. We have two SQ White Wyandotte Cockerel's for sale. One took first, and the other took third in the show last weekend. Nice little birds, not aggressive. They are just under 1 year old (4/2008 hatch). If anyone happens to be interested, send me a PM. I was asking $15 each or $25 for the pair. Will also give a 4H discount.

I also have 3 little cochin/Blue Laced Red Wyandotte crosses for sale. Will be two weeks old this weekend. They all have the feathered legs. Asking $3 each for them or take all three for $8

Thanks!!

Oh yeah... I would be more than happy to consider trades as well

I don't remember talking to you but that doesn't mean we didn't. There were a few people there.

I definitely hope to meet you and other BYCers next time. I always like to put a face to an online personality.

Thank you for writing. She was sleeping ok this AM, eating and drinking a little. One of our other chicks escaped this AM and got in the box with her and was cuddling with her. We moved it back into the other box. Perhaps we are humanizing it but it seemed like it didn't like that the other chick was over there alone.
This afternoon we had to leave for a few hours for a couple classes the kids had and when we returned she had passed away.

In our Logical minds we realize that not all chicks make it but we are still sad. It is hard when this is our first chicks and we felt so helpless to really help her.
We are hoping the others stay healthy and that the short time the other chick was over there it didn't get anything from her.

Thanks for listening.

I think we might have talked to you. We looked at the Marans at the show but we hadn't researched that breed and weren't ready to buy full grown chickens yet.

All the chicks we have now will lay brown eggs but not the dark chocolate like the Marans. What breeds are on that forum?

I will give you free chicks to help cope with your loss in this time.
If you want a couple just contact me.
I always like to help out. No strings attached.

My friend has no shortage of people willing to sit her chickens because they get to keep the eggs while she is gone.
I guess that doesn't work if they aren't laying though.

We lost our BR yesterday and I'm getting DBF another one (she was his fav). I was already going to add 2 to our flock, so decided to add 3 when Dumpling died. When DBF found out, he didn't get the chicken math... though he did mention coop #2...

I'm also going to be using eggs as trades. You'd be surprized at what people will do for free eggs. I've got one guy that's going to tan rabbit for free duck eggs, then for a few rabbit hides and duck eggs get a coat made.
