Well I'm not trying to jack this thread but couldn't resist after I saw Annes post with Zoey. Here is our Mini Aussie Quincy who loves to cruise the dunes at Sand Lake in the BAJA bug. Yes Quincy always wears his doggles he has his own seat in the back and yes I made him a safety harness so he is always buckled in. Anne maybe we will see ya there sometime. We are headed down in July.

Well Hi Sparkles!
I think I know you from another place!
I'm in Thurston county now, hope to move to Lewis county someday!

Hey Washingtonians, I'm looking for a Brown Chinses gander?
I will have a couple of young Tufted romans later this year, if the neighbor changes her mind!(again)

Jenn, great article on the benefits of BYC! I got a laugh out of the Yes We Can poster,

I've been running out to check for eggs every morning, and so far nothing, so maybe I'll have to copy your idea!

Jenspeeps is famous! The Olympia paper also printed the article. I wanted to save the article, but my DH and son got ahold of it and used it for fire starter! (not intentionally, I don't think....) The picture of the boy holding the chicken was just precious--can anyone post that picture somehow?

Okay here's a link to the other article with a photo--I am too much of a dinosaur to figure out how to move that photo!

Hello All!

I am sort of old/new at this, but definitely new to BYC. I had chickens before but then my ex took my flock when we broke up. My husband and I are now trying to start a new flock in Burien (acutally I am wanting to start a mini flock and he is being a love and saying 'yes dear') practically under the airport. We are building our coop this weekend!

(or at least starting to). Since i'm in the city limits I can't have very many so i'll probably be driving to several different places to pick out one or two chicks/pullets since i would like to vary my pet flock.

I put my wish list in the buy/sell/trade but thought i would drop in and say hello from the wetter side of the mountains

You don't have to stalk me! Just let me know when you're in the area and I'll glad have you over for sustenance of some kind. Any of you! I love to host, even if it's just for store-bought cookies (gasp!) and tea.

For chookchick:

I figured I'd throw out there that in a about 2 months I'm going to start looking for some geese, prefer goslings. I'm not looking for fancy breeds. I also wouldn't mind getting some turkeys that can reproduce, I'd take babies too.

I finally remembered to take my camera when I closed up the coop. Note that all eight squeeze onto the same roost even thought there is one the same size/height next to this roost.

Notice how bright red their combs are, I'm hoping that means eggs are soon to be forthcoming!
