Hey, this is something I think I can be able to handle. This is right up my alley. I would enjoy working on it very much. That is something I can do while reclining. I have my computer station set up so that I can continue for awhile even if I am having a mildly bad day

If anybody knows what they will be bringing, send the recipe in advance to me (If you want to). I can print out several copies and then people can simply pick it up if they want it. Or if anyone is interested in this idea, I would be happy to put together a little book of any recipes that I recieve. Let me know if there is any interest, and I will see that you get my email address so that we can do this.

How many cars do you think we could get in the parking lot??? My guess is 35-40 cars BUT I could be way OFF! I just stopped by there on my way home from work. its about a 5 min drive for me

Ron. No idea. But I know when I went there I had parked on the side of the street. Wasn't far at all from front door. The place was packed. I would think probably 300 people in there. So I don't see a problem with parking.

Maybe I missed it. What is the total rental cost for the amount of time you all want?

I was thinking about the recipe booklet. It might be something that I could do after the event also. I could gather up all of the recipes and make the booklet. If anybody had pictures frome the event, I could include them (In black and white form, probably). Sort of a souvenier booklet of the event. I am up for before or after. What do you all think?

I wish they had these down here. Maybe some of you in the North end can take advantage of these.

Kittymomma. A few people have posted that link. Good to see you doing it also as it is one great deal. Hopefully those that missed it before can now take advantage of it.
I'm working on the foundation right now for three of them. They will be for my drywall business not a chicken coop. But they would make great coops for sure. I went and checked them out. Very sturdy. Not sure why the ad still says different sizes as when we went there and talked to John and only one size available but you can buy it to open from either side.

Oops! Glad it's been out there. I only look at the Olympia area farm and garden on CL so I guess it makes sense that they've posted it before in the greater Seattle area. I thought about it, but I'm pretty sure the transport cost for down here would put it out of my reach.

I'm like you Kittymomma. I would love to have a couple. One for coop, one for shed. But the distance makes it impossible. I rented something like this when I moved to Seattle a few years ago. They put it in my parking space at my apartment. It was great. I wish I could have bought it then. I paid something like $40 a month. It was 6X8X8 I think. Maybe a little bit bigger than this, but looks the same.

edited because for some reason I said condo instead of apartment. I don't know what that is about. I have never lived in a condo..... Weird brain or toxic fumes from inhaling too much chicken poop. Tomorrow, hopefully we clean the coop. Hopes going out for dry weather tomorrow.... We will see.

$215 for 7 hours, that is for the set up & clean up time, and the party. I figure 5 hours is enough time for the actual party.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten about sending out an email, but I wanted to have a few more details nailed down before doing so. That way I can give you all as much info as possible in the first email.

Thanks for your patience,
Kim

I am jealouse Ron! I wish my younger girls would lay just one egg! I want to see what colors they will be. My Marans, and my Amraucana haven't started to lay yet. But I did see them checking out the nest boxes yesterday morning. It's a half day for me tomorrow, if you want to and have time, you are more than welcome to come check out my set up tomorrow afternoon. Maybe when you do come, you can talk to my young ones and let them know it's time to stop freeloading?
