It's all your fault, Chicken Rustler. I went to town today and had an extra few minutes... so... I remembered that you said there were chicks at Kaija's... and couldn't resist going to check them out. I came home with 5! If you hadn't been so nice and told me, I wouldn't have been pulled there LOL!!

So I've got 5 new babies now even though I'm waiting for a big order of chicks in 2 weeks from Welp

Hey, I'm headed over from Whidbey as well (I'm in Clinton). Would suggest carpooling except my daughter and her family are in Bothell and if they get wind of me being over will force me to visit afterwards and conduct myself like a doting Grandma. But hope I get to meet you there!

I was thinking that the gathering might be an opportunity to do some swaps as well (wouldn't be hot and sunny so little danger to the traveling birds), but maybe it would be too distracting from the 'getting to know you' purpose.

Just to let you all know, you can't have animals in the building, but if you want to leave them out in your vehicals, that would be Ok. The party starts at 12:30 ish and ends at 4:30. We have to have everything cleaned up and out of there by 5:30. Any volunteers to help with the clean up would be great! I have paper plates, cups, napkins, and a few serving utensils for those who forget to bring serving stuff. I also am bring ing water, and Ron is bringing some soda. I think I saw that Rob picked up some stick on name tags, so I won't get any of those. My husband is planning on bringing his good camera and taking photos, then I can email them out. I hope people can make it, I would hate to be the only one there!

Still out on it. I'm still in Charleston right now. When I leave here today I will have almost 60 hours in this week, plus travel time, physics in the morning (

), and I super duper seriously need to go to help lab on Sunday for the class I missed Wednesday, which starts at 10.

both of my poodle are "its," in a past life (pre 6 months old) they were a male and a female.

The cockatoos are female, and the quaker 'keet is a male. He's a big Grumpy McGrumpington, but he loves chips, so I'm sure he can be bribed.

ETA: I'm also still out on who I miss more, the feathereds, or DH and the kids

My dh committed us to a breakfast/brunch with friends. He is antichickens or so he says but I didn't inform him of the party before he committed so I go with the flow.

My priorities are always to my animals but I have to make room for the dh now and then.

So sorry that I have been gone for so long, I lost a great friend of mine.
His name was POPEYE and he was 12 years old.
It has been very hard on our family but were trying to make the best of it.

It's right on 100th. I haven't done any directions because people are coming from so many different directions. If you are on I 405, take the 124th st exit and go west. Follow it all the way down the hill to the intersection of 124th and 100th/98th. take a right and go up the hill. Look for it on you left. I am not sure of the cross street. Here is the address 13027 100th Ave Ne, Kirkland, WA. 98034. You can map quest it too. See you there!

Kim and Lorraine are both correct. On the corner of 100th and 130th.

The cross street is NE 130th PL. you have to turn on this street (NE 130th PL) or you will go passed the center. Then you will have to go to NE 132st. and turn around

If your friends are REAL friends, they will understand how important it is for you to attend the Chicken Party

My wife is antichicken too. But she is a SMART woman. She knows better than to give me that " it's the chickens or me" thing. because before she could be out of the driveway with her suitcases I would have the Chickens in the house

Its really my BR roo that she is afraid of
