*thinks Monroe is about 2.5 hours from my front door and there are no eggs set for hatch that weekend........hmmmmm??? *

So for those who saw the green eggs and ham. Am I correct in calling them green (olive) or did you think there was a better color to describe them.

Kim I am still waiting for an OK to use one of the pics Jeff took as my avatar. I think you can figure out which one it's kind of a dead give away.

We just got 2 chicks on Monday and would like 2-3 more. I would love an orpington and another typically nice breed. Does anyone have a recomendation as to where to buy these (which feed stores carry chicks)?

Thanks!

Kkmoto,

I don't know where in WA you are, but if you are anywhere near Monroe in Western WA, Monroe Farm & Feed has lots of chicks in and a great variety. They are getting in new chicks it seems like every other day. Dels feed store in Monroe also has some in, but they tend to just have your standard laying varieties, not as much to choose from.

Hope that helps!

Tamara
