I'll be there, have a physics final in the AM, but hope to have that done as quickly and painlessly as possible. Got a friend who will be there too that I'm hoping to run into as well.

There will be a Snohomish County 4-H Judging Contest being held at the Cascade Poultry Show, so we'll be there for that and of course be having a look around. I just asked my oldest DD if she wanted to enter any birds and she said maybe, so who knows. I know if she does, she'll be taking at least her black bantam cochin. She did well with him at fair last year and would use him for showmanship.

Heather, which birds did you enter so I can look for you?

I bet Tailfeathers will be there too. Not sure who else might be there.

sure am glad I didn't take the chicken that laid them green eggs !!!! But I would have made sure it was under armed guard.
I really don't care that they are gone just curious where they ended up. Hope they got a better home than where Ron's wind up chicken was headed!!!

I'll be going to the show. I notice they are having a Adult/chick silent bird auction. Anyone know how that works at this show?
Do people ever bring birds to these shows to sell not being in an auction?

Oh are the pictures posted? We probably aren't in them since we got there late but would love to see them.

On another note...
Today we put "meany" in with the other chicks again and it seems to be doing ok. A few of the others put it in its place and it was cowering and we didn't see it trying to peck eyes out so maybe it will be able to stay in there. Thanks for telling me to just give it more time - we needed to hear that.

Last year when we went, there were signs on some of the cages saying the birds were for sale.

We don't know if we can go yet. My boys might have a 4-H Archery Tournament that day; we'll find out tonight. We hope it works out to be able to attend the show. My son's silkie that he did fit-n-show with at the fair and had wanted to use at the Cascade show was taken by coyotes this winter

so if he can attend the show, he will have to work with another bird quickly if he wants to do fit-n-show there since the his new bantams are just chicks.

My daughter says KIM went home with the GREEN eggs and Ham

Uplate
Kim sent them to our email address, If you "PM" her, and give her your email. I'm sure she will send them to you

Kim
Tell Jeff THANKS again for taking the pictures and posting them. It was nice of him to take the time

You guys are too funny. I so look forward to getting off work and checking in.
Sorry Chookchick, I was kinda braindead Sunday, A couple of you left early and I forgot to let you know that the cobblers were for anyone to take home. I'm glad I didn't have to take anything of mine back home. I did have extra at home. One really ugly cobbler went to a neighbor. I had teriyaki chicken last night, and tonight I'm braising belgian endive for dinner. Never had that before.

Reber Ranch has chicks. Mostly Barred Rocks, Buff Orps, and Rhode Island Reds. Nice looking chicks. I read so many horror stories of feed store chicks that it's nice to see them in clean well cared for condition.

Welcome missjillie to BYC and the Washington thread. It goes without saying the we are cooler than the other 49 states.
