They're not laying because they're 4 weeks to 2 months old.

I don't have Cuckoos though. . I have a thing against them, as most are ruined hatchery stock.

My Marans and Ameraucanas get up at the same time as most of my hens - But usually the Wyandottes are the first to be up and running about the pasture. (I swear I need to call it something else. . . Pastures are nothing but grasses, Ours is a wilderness of a meadow.

The next show after Stevenson is in the Ellensburg area. Here is some info on that show. I found this on a web search on this web site. http://4h.wsu.edu/news/Tues/2010/040610.htm#6th

Me!

Are you by any chance on the SCNA?

yes, but I am not on there much..
smile.png
I can only keep up with so many virtual realities!

lol! I lurk there more than anything... I have a nice Serama boy and a very nicely colored hen with him--she is sitting on 5 eggs--due to hatch on the 29th...
smile.png
There are pictures of him on my blog--his name is Romeo--I actually have TWO Serama Roo's but Sir is too big for breeding, so my son uses him for Showmanship...

If you guys have never been to Stevenson--ya gotta go--at least for the scenery! it is SO pretty. Even the fair grounds a very pretty. If you have time to do any of the scenic drives.. highly recommend it.

****My 3rd silkie went broody, so I stuck 4 more butter scotch call eggs under her!! *woot woot* I can't wait!! That means we have 12 calls under the silkies now, and 9 in the incubator.***

Oh ok

Bringing anything?

yes--my butterscotch calls, my cute little serama roo(the hen was s'posed to come too-but she decided to sit on her eggs *woot*!) my two FOR SALE after the show byootiful white cochin pair..

anyone anyone?? lol! I can't wait to meet everyone--how are we going to know who is who?? I was at the Monroe show, and I just read someone bought a pair of Pastels from Josh--those are very pretty qwx! Everything is entered in the Youth show for my son... He uses our 'extra' serama rooster for showmanship..
Where are people staying? We will be at the Best Western--the one on the Oregon side, I think it's a Best Western...

I wish I could help you on this but I know NOTHING about it.

Hope you and your family are doing well. I may have been MIA and missed it, but did your wife have the baby yet?

Kim

The baby is due on May 5th so, just a little longer.
Were ready as can be.
Mike

The show sounds like so much fun, I had a blast at Monroe.

We won't be able to make it as I'm flying out of town for business on Sunday. So if anyone hears of a father gone crazy in Lake Stevens, someone please go by and feed my chickens, since it's probably DH being hauled off, driven mad by our well-behaved, darling, always listen to everything we say, obedie
roll.png
..... okay, I almost got that out without busting a gut.

Anyway, when he's hauled off blathering nonsense about dolls, tea parties and giggles, just go feed my chickens for me please?

Thanks.
