Wow...glad your eggs showed up. When you pick them up, check the mailing date....she may have gotten them out later than she planned and they still may be fresh. That's kind of what I'm hoping happens with mine. Maybe he planned to mail them last Thursday but something came up and maybe they didn't go out until Monday? Sure would have been nice to get an email though if that's the case.

Now that they are here, take a deep breath and try and relax!!!!

awww.. you two, so frustrating with what has been happening to you guys.. (you also weave--I only just caught up with your story, as I am one of the 'newbies'..) really, though The Rest of The Story.. that was funny ron! Chickie, I am glad your eggs are here--put those babies in the incubator!

There is NO EXCUSE for no communication.
Just because you received them does not satisfy her actions.
You should let others know on the feed back section what happened so others can ask them selves do they like to be treated like poop or would it be wiser to deal with someone else that has an ounce of respect?
Do not be stressed out by others sending you pm's or that person now sending them.

No communication gives you the right to speak out. That person needs to be held accountable for their actions.


What I do with Paypal is have my debit card connected to it. I pay using it.
That way if I have a dispute I can immediately call up the debit card company and get the money returned to my account.

They start a simple investigation with questions over the phone then send you a very simple paper to fill out.
Twice they called me and told me forget about sending it back cause the other party didn't dispute the issues.
Even if they do just repeat the truth on that paper and send it back.
Only if you are lying will they take the money back out of your account.

If you go straight paypal payment the investigation can take a very long time with your money tied up. That is ridiculous.
Someone does me wrong last thing I want is my money being held hostage.

I have saved huge $$$ through buying off Ebay and other sites like this one.

You will always eventually meet a person with no integrity.

Don't let them steal future deals from you by discouraging you to the point of never doing it again.
Protect yourself payment wise and your out look for future deals will be bright!

My seller just PM'd me. They did not get shipped until Monday and he sent me the Delivery Confirmation number. Hopefully they arrive today! I do agree with you though Greg about the communication issue. If you don't have time to communicate, you shouldn't be selling.

YEAH for Chickielady and WA4-Hpoultrymom! I am so glad that things are on the up turn for you! So maybe the tide will keep turning in my favor!

I called the feed store today to see what they found out about my duckling babies that are wandering who knows where!
So UPDATE 11:55am They have not heard back from the hatchery yet and have had no sign of my ducklings coming in today. I have called both post offices again today and they still had no "live" deliveries for the feed store!'

So what should I do? If they do not arrive until tomorrow that would be 5 days since hatch with no food or water! IF ,and that is a big if, they arrive alive (if at all)should I still purchase them? Will they all end up dying on me at home? I don't think that I could handle that. I have already been in tears!'

I am starting to seriously have doubts whether I am meant to be a ducky mama. I have had 2 different people have black runner eggs in a bator for me and neither group hatched and now this. I thought that this was a sure fire way to go. I saved all the receipts for everything that I have bought and am starting to think that I should begin returning stuff.'

I'm so sorry to hear about all the messed up deals and deliveries! How horrible. I just got online to post (my duckies are here

) but I feel so terrible for everyone else!!!

I have had mine for 2 days now, but unable to be online till now. The way that life always keeps us guessing.....I got a goofy, bratty, spoiled foster dog who had a bigger issue than I thought, so he's taken a lot of my attention.

Didn't someone on this thread work at the Seattle Humane Society? I'd LOVE to hear their oppinions on him if they remember who he is (he was just pulled from the shelter two days ago too)

The date on the box of eggs I got was Monday, she did waite a full week to mail them, probably collecting some daily, so I expect they are all OK, she packed really well, no broken and the box looks ok, no dents, only one thing is curious here and I know you will all laugh and smile here....inside was 2 18 pack cartons cut in half packed with lite tannish eggs, some with freckles, each wrapped and put in the half-18 styrofoam carton, and taped shut, and on the outside of the carton was written in nice big letters:
LAKENVELDER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cool, rare-ish, beautiful, and expensive, but I ordered 12 Cuckoo Marans,(cheap!)... and I cannot get her to call, e-mail or PM me so I am done with the whole mess !

Here then comes 'the maybes'....like maybe it is an old egg carton and she just did not cross off the writting...or maybe someone else packed them by accident, and then maybe, just maybe they are lakenvelders, and some poor sap out there paid for lakenvelders but is opening a box of dark brown Cuckoo Marans eggs...these eggs are light, very light tannish, some freckled, and medium.
My cuckoos lay a dark chocolate egg, and Jumbo sized, so I am once again baffled by Christine !
Maybe she is swamped for orders and bound to get them mixed up sooner or later, my DH says to return them and demand the money back, I won't, God must have wanted me to have these eggs...and I am going to just shut up and be happy with them.

If I take a photo of these eggs, can any of you ID lakenvelders ?
They do not look Cuckoo at all.
