Your eggs are so pretty. I have a silver lakenvelder chick out there right now (Misty) and 2 salmon faverolles (Chum and Chinook)... and a coupble FBCM also. I can't wait to see their eggs! I will be so excited to add those colors to my basket

ETA: I named my salmon faverolles after types of salmon that live in the area

Thanks for all the input.
I love the big white eggs LaSombra,
But I am not going to deal with the seller anymore.
I just have no taste for the fight.
My health will be at risk if I continue to be stressed out.
So I move on, lesson learned and will put the eggs in the bator today.
If they hatch and are nice, I will keep them, otherwise there is always the farmer's market.
But seriously if these were from a young Cuckoo, they would be very dark.
(Even young, my Cuckoos never laid such a little egg)
And if from an old bird, the eggs would be large and light...so why these are small and light is anyone's guess.
I sell eggs to alot of cutomers (to eat) that is why I have all the PBR's...and having a bunch of hens taking up space, eating grain, requiring my time and care, and then laying a tiny egg (regardless of it's color) is not productive.
So, what is done is done, and we just need to move on.
We have a house to start building, a garden to continue getting in (half is done)
the orchard is in but needs trees tied to supports, and so many, many other issues way more important and alot more positive than worrying any further about these eggs.
I will say that the seller had a totally different photo of the Cuckoo Eggs she was selling, maybe an old photo, I do not know, but thanks for so much support, and I am going to drop it.
My kids want to persue the issue as they are defensive of me, and they have left a few comments online to her, hopefully nothing bad or I will get in trouble for it !
So, let's look for those baby ducks !

I cannot believe the hatchery will not return your calls, but if it is the hatchery south of here in Oregon, the old Shank's hatcery, call early in the morning on Wed-Fri cuz on Monday they hatch, sex and pack, and on Tues they ship out early and should be at the feed store, so they told me.
They do not ship everyday, but with ducks, who knows ?
They have a different incubation time than chicks do so maybe a whole different schedule.

Oh the pretty big eggs were from justbugged !
Beautiful !
I want to add some to my flock.
The ppl that buy eggs from me have health issues as well, like Chrones', Celiac Disease, and other digestives issues.
And they love to see all the colors !
They also love the fact the eggs are fresh and 'real' as in most every carton, I add a feather.
Just a bit of fluffy down or other pretty feather.
My customers love it.
Each carton having different colored eggs and each has a different feather reminding us all, that these eggs came from beautiful birds.

Chickielady
So I would say yes they are Marans eggs, and if they have dark spots that hen has the chance to lay that color, it does sound by the size that they could be pullet eggs. Im so sorry.
If you want BCM I have some eggs, they are nice and dark and large..

I just love getting our eggs all the colors and everyday is a suprise with the darks ones.

So another message left for the hatchery with no return call. Another call to the post offices and no shipment came in today.

Thinking that I might just bite the bullet and order from Metzer. Anyone in my area wanting ducklings and maybe we can share a order!? You can mix the breeds!

Anyone expecting some black runners to hatch VERY SOON!? '

Chickielady-- Yes T_Hi and frogchickrincess are 2 different people. We met in Stevenson at the show after corresponding by email for awhile.

Speaking of birds to give away, I have a couple of roo's that I need to find new homes for. If anyone wants any of them, let me know. Here's the list so far:

8 wks old:
Welsummer (Whitmore Farms line from BYC'er JamesA)
3 partridge cochin bantam roos

3 wks old: (not 100% sure yet on the sex of these chicks but these are my guesses so far)
at least 3 black cochin bantams, possibly a blue also
possibly 2 blue andalusion
possibly 2 crele old english bantam

Also have 2 more old english bantam roo's that are about a yr old, one is self blue and seriously molting right now + another crele

If ANYBODY wants any of these, please let me know! I will be posting an ad on craigslist soon but wanted to post here first. I am in Monroe, and will be traveling down to Longview along I-5 sometime in May (to buy more eggs...somebody smack me!!!) So I am happy to deliver if you are on my route!

would you want an already laying pullet?? lol

We actually had a large flock of layers that I have downsized to make way for chicks.

I've been hatching up a storm and have more eggs coming....so I'm afraid I'll have to pass on the pullet!!!

Looking over the available Roos and just wondering if anyone is trying to find home for a Polish Roo? I have two white crested black hens and am just wondering if I should add a rooster?

(What, am I insane or what??!)
