OK, just to explain why I have not been here and so have just now posted so many replies, I have somehow contracted strept throat as I woke up with the pain yesterday and it has kept me down in bed but for just checking on all my critters.
I have a story here to tell you all, just a wee story:
Years ago I was a menber of "the San Francisco Bay Area Koi Club" big mouthful there, uh?
Anyway the boring club gathered at a different members home every month for a potluck, and traded baby koi, often had spekers, artists, etc...so what do you all think about us gathering at a different person's home every month ?
It would be really hard for us here on the western coast to get over to Tri Cities, but it could happen !
Summer is coming (is it really ?) and we could drive over ??
Well, maybe ?
I thought how cool it would be to sell, auction our own birds/eggs/chicks/goslings/stuff, which can be medications to art to incubators...

so i am bored watching tv (doing hw too)

and this show Minute to Win it comes on. its silly... but there is this challenge. i tell my boyfriend to run and grab cookies.
we both tried this at the same time and used the tv as the clock....

Dare you to try this: place a cookie on your forehead. use the muscles in your face to move the cookie from your forehead to your mouth. eat 2 this way in a minute. it it falls replace it . you have 60 seconds...

its not as easy.....Note: keep eyes closed when cookie is over eyelid. and don't forget to wipe your face off afterwards... i used oreos and it left a trail of crumbs...

i like this show now, gave me an excuse to eat a cookie, in a fun way.

I didn't want to thin them out like this, though

I just added up in my head that I currently have 66 chicks of various ages and sexes between >1 week and 1.5 months. Almost half of them are chicks I'm raising for other people, though.

Sorry about you getting strep! I had it a couple months ago. It is no fun at all!

Hi Melissa These are my first chickens also. I got the first 5 on march 17th and 6 more on the 23 of march. And could not resist picking up two more the first week in april. I just had to have 2 silver lace waynedottes. I cant wait for eggs. Do you possibly live out my way?

OK here's the latest and not so greatest on how to stop a thief

. Went to urgent care today. They took one look at my leg and said you need to go straight to the Hospital ER. So off to the ER. After only 3 hours and a CT scan they were able to tell me " that doesn't look too good you have a lot of swelling and could have some torn ligaments. You need to elevate and ice it." Well DUH it don't take a rocket scientist like me to figure that one out.
So they send me home in a brace that makes it next to impossible to get into the truck (not to mention drive

) crutches ( told em to keep them) and pain meds in with the paper work, eventhough when they asked I told them I didn't want any pain meds. And now for the worst part strict orders that will be enforced by DW and DN's. Stay off it and keep it elevated for a week.
I really wish I had a lap top about now so at least I could play on line to keep me from going any more crazy.

As for the wild ride with that crazy woman driver. I think Ron must have passed out from all of HIS heavy drinking. When he passed out he must have fallen over banging our heads together thus rendering me unconscious on the back floor boards of the station wagon because I remember less of the ride than Ron seems to.
