Hello everyone, I have a shed type thing that a former tenant left behind on our property, it doesn't make a very good shed, and needs a new roof, but the rest of the wood is in pretty good shape. If anyone wants it as a coop, it would need a new roof, and some sort of doors, but it has good potential, and it is free, if you come and take it away. You would be able to get a truck about 50' away from it to load it up, due to where it is located. From what I can tell, it is resting on cement blocks and not actually cemented in the ground. I would like it gone asap, so if you would like it please let me know! I am located in North Edmonds/ Lynnwood area. please send me a PM

im a newbie too no worries. My reason for being upset is this. A lot of people (newbies ) purchase Ameraucanas for things like 4H and shows only to find out that they are Easter Eggers which are not APA approved (standardized) and are not able to win prizes and their children end up going home in tears. each of the breeds this person mentioned is a separate breed and I and Tailfeathers and possibly others have told this person that to no avail, they seem to only care about making a sale rather than being truthful. it is simply a matter of principal.

Amercaunas don't lay green or pink eggs. They lay blue eggs. Easter Eggers lay blue, green, or pink eggs. Easter Eggers are not a breed. They are any chicken with the blue gene. They're mutts. I have nothing against mutts. I'd like to get some EEs someday, but telling a buyer they're getting a specific breed when they're not, is wrong.

Don't give up on those "dud" eggs too soon. Read my post on incubating and hatching. I have a chick! Thought it would be impossible in my makeshift incubator, but here she is. Almost threw her egg in the garbage a couple of times. I named her Lucky.

I liked your answer. You told about the ramifications of selling under false pretenses.

well, so I'd put 2 fake eggs under my broodie in there just to make her happy to be setting on something for now... Yesterday, I went out to collect eggs and saw an egg on the floor below the nests. It was one of the fakes. When I looked under her, there were still 2 eggs: 1 fake and 1 real. Somehow, she'd replaced a fake with a real egg. LOL I just left her with the real egg. If she wants to be a momma that badly, I'll let her. I will have to set up a broody nest for her, though.

Now I understand. I do not know chicken breeds well. I used to show rabbits in 4-H. This is awful that someone is selling a animal falesly and dooping someone. It infuriates me that the seller does have any concern or pride in his/her product and just cares about the $$$$$. Ya' know they dont' care about these kids or the chickens for that matter. Just give me the $$$$ and outa' here. I agree with you, this is infuriating.
