So I want to worm my remaining 5 chickens, what should I use? And should I worm them lightly at first, just in case, or should I give them a full dose?

I use Wazine every 30 days for 3 doses...then alot of ppl recommend Ivermectin...expensive for a bottle and it lasts forever...see if you can 'buy' some from someone as a bottle is tons of dosages...and really expensive.
I also dust the feed with DE, and provide the DE dust bath.
There has been no improvement in my ill Lt Brahma hen...she just stands with eyes closed...she will awaken and walk about if bumped...guess we do some more syringe food and water.

Are you getting your DE locally? I haven't found it anywhere besides in Stall Dry.

this will either be great for us local egg producers, or it will kill the city chicken deals, uninformed people will want all chickens out of the cities cuz they cause human illness !

So are you eating the eggs, even though you are treating for worms with Wazine every 30 days?

No eating of eggs when treating with Ivermectin, but Wazine is said to be safe, and is actually used in alot of human treatment, such as kidney stones and gout medication...my dad takes it daily...but we do not sell those eggs to anyone else lest someone have an allergy.
It is fine to feed to your dogs, and you have dogs !

Does that include parrots and lovebirds, finches and the like ?

Does it include fowl inside your house or just fowl outside in the yard ?
I read about a guy who locked his roo in his garage every night, and no one could hear him in the no-crow-hours.

I got my bags of DE at the feed store in Montesano: Montesano Farm and Garden I think is the name.
It is food grade...I do believe that DEl's also carries it, not sure.
There may be some at the Farm Store in Chehalis, call them~

Well, once again I log on and have the entire forum to my own self...so will post a report that my Lt Brahma hen is still with us and appears to be doing better.
Syringe fed 3 X with the gruel mixture: Ground Layena, soy milk, rice pilaf and thinned a bit with Sulpha water...she is doing way better and apparently had a sinus infection:
Her head was HOT, and I noticed 1 nostril closed, eyes closed...so she is eating now, and drinking the sulfa water, and walking about, eyes open and apparently talking.
I imagine she is saying "Man what a killing sinus head ache I have !"
I surfed all the disease sites and could not find her symptoms, but there is alot of diseases in there that are way worse, such as air sca disease and the like...so this is the same medication used for those worse conditions, she should be fine.
