I have Butterscotch Call ducks.. I LOVE them!! My garden is virtually slug free.. my bee balm is the healthiest is has EVER been.. and I know it is because of my lil qwx. The Silver Appleyards are beautiful~but 'maybe' you would really enjoy some Butters running around..

lol! I am a duckaholic. I love my chickens and goaties, but I really get a kick out of my ducks too.

How on earth are you clearing the crik ?

Cleaning the crick is a muddy job. We hand dig it every season so that is doesnt change course, or overflow. So we dig out the edges with shovels, then we block it with plywood to back up the water, then realease. We do this at least 6 times, and it flushes out all the silt. The silt settles in a catch pond at the end of our properties, then we scoop it out with buckets, and fill in any holes that need filling. Like I said, its a muddy job. My youngest dog likes to help stir up the silt. And by the time we are done, her cream colored paws turn black as tar. Then it is bath time!

So called "fun work" on a hot day...but all the same, maybe a culvert pipe is what is needed ?

I make award winning cookies. I put in just about everything but the kitchen sink in them. The cookies are almost good for you. But I haven't got a good substitute for wheat flour. Now I will have to think about that for a while. Good thing Google exists.

my birds are getting better...it is not effecting the Chiks (2 mo old) or the old Cuckoo hens,, So go figure.
I would like to think that every time a chicken gets sick it does not mean that you have AVIAN CHOLARA FESTISS FLUEISSSSSS....maybe you just have a 'cold'..that said and my medical background, I watch...I have my micoscope...in storage out of state (

) but I do watch.
You all remember I have RIW's in the bator...due next week !!!!!!! Going to candle NOW
