I wanna see bantam ducks !!!!!!!!!!!!

Chickielady http://www.holderreadfarm.com/ has pictures of bantam ducks. I warn you now you will want some, so maybe don't look! I was considering the Black East Indies or the Mini Silver Appleyards. Though I was hoping to get them somewhere else...

Rare Feathers, I was hoping for the bantams which are slightly bigger than the calls, and slightly quieter--or so I hear. I am in suburbia. Bigger=tougher for a cat to tackle, and a larger appetite for slugs I hope, while still small enough to fit in my small back yard. Calls are also very, very cute and if it wasn't for their notorious noise factor, white calls were my very first choice.

Itty-bitty pekins! Can you Imagine how charming they would be?!

But I have been sternly warned off from the little loudmouths. Sigh. Especially since there are 2 white call drakes on Craigslist for $10 each right NOW. double sigh.

I just gave my little kitten a bath this evening. He was just crawling with fleas! The poor little guy

He's only 8 weeks old and all the flea medicines say at least 12 weeks old for a kitten to use it. I swear I washed off like 100 fleas from him and there are still more that I couldn't get off. I wish there were something I could do for him...

An 8 week old kitten can become anemic from fleas, they could even kill him(though ususally not unless he's already weak), lost one when I was a kid that way. If money is tight you can also use some of the 12+ week stuff on a towel and then wrap him in it. And you can always use a really good flea comb with metal teeth. They take a long time but they do work. Any way you can knock back the population on him long enough for him to be able to use the older stuff...

I'm glad he's very healthy, but definitely don't want him anemic or anything. Thanks for the suggestions, too.

I also got flea bombs for the house as well as that powder for the carpets. I'm hoping to take care of it all maybe tomorrow or something. The fleas are horrible this year! Has anyone heard of using Skin-So-Soft from Avon to repel fleas? My dad said he heard of doing that. I don't have any of it, but maybe could order it or something?

I make award winning cookies. I put in just about everything but the kitchen sink in them. The cookies are almost good for you. But I haven't got a good substitute for wheat flour. Now I will have to think about that for a while. Good thing Google exists.

Ahhhh! You are sweet as honey !
I will do the surgery/baby chick/ hatch/Dad surgery/me at the Fair/ thing next week, and then I AM COMING OVER TO TEA AND COOKIES WITH YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://bestsmileys.com/love2/6.gif Gluten free cookies for me with tons of butter and dark silky chocolate ! To chicken nuggets with """healthy"""" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This can be so arranged my dear. I would even put you for the night if need be. I only use butter. I know goes into butter. I am not sure what goes into other things that are said to be like butter. I have heard the some of those things are like one chemical something away from being plastic.

So I really like that I know that the cow has made me some butter. And then there are so many types of chocolate that can go into a cookie. I don't thinks right to discriminate against the different types of chocolate. And then there is the flavorings. That I think is the secrete of my cookies. I might need to make some more.

Arrrrrrrggghhh! I needa haicut soooooo bad that I have butchered myself...It was long and sticking to me and wisping in my face and aaaaaaaai I have threatened to WACK it off for years, and so a week or two ago I did...and I had a pony tail on and cut it hacksaw style right above the rubber band......so the total effect was longer around the ears but skin showing-close at the back of the head (

) and everybody have given me horsefeathers about it (that was SMOOOTH there huh ? Horsefeathers ?) But ya gotta realize I give so many people haircuts...and I cannot cut my own due to being habitually RIGHT handed !!!!! so one side of my hair DDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOO is layered and nice, the other looks like a machete has delt with it !

Okay I know that it is when I am about to get to that stage of doing it myself, that it is time to see someone about the matter.

My hair grows very slowly so I don't very often get to point where I am desperate. But I have done cut my own hair in the far distant past.

I must have learned something from the event. I now walk in to a couple of the high end shops in town and let them do their worst to me. Though I may have found a gal that I will see more than once, because she seems to understand my lack of style.
ya.gif
Now I am trying to let the old damaged stuff grow long enough to get rid of it. The niece's wedding is in two weeks I may break down, and have it cut before I find myself standing around getting photos taken at a family event. I am going to scream if I see a picture of myself eating something again.

Okay the nail thing I have had acrylic nail for like 13 or 14 years now. I love my power tools, and most of the time I don't even loose them. The nails are so handy and sturdy. I have logged with them, and done meat birds with them. They have been very handy over the years. But yesterday I realized that I had taken a little too long between visits with Jimmy. One on the nails was coming off, so last night I cut it down and took off as much as I could. I cut off a bit to much, and when Jimmy (who is very very good.) took the rest of the nail off my finger was bleeding. UF DA.

I survived, and I think that I may have learned that I should have been wearing rubber gloves when I was washing the nasty stinky little dogs. What's bad is by the time I wash the dogs next time, I will have forgotten that I really need to wear rubber glove again.

Oh if you stop by I have some very good hair cutting scissors, and would be happy to even you up if you are daring enough. I don't have a license of cutting hair, but I have a lot of nerve.

Dare you!!!

I used to live not too far from Ione WA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol.png

Let's just say there used to be a fantastic place to eat there... not much else, but best friends still live there..

There is a stop up that way, where I bought homemade Huckleberry jam. I love huckleberries. We both like the Metaline Falls area of Washington. It feels like you are standing on the edge of true wilderness, probably because you are.
