You are wonderful to take him in...and did GF ever see that vechicle at that address ?
Too bad that the humane society will probably have to put him down as not too many people want the issues associated with the geriatric animal of any kind.
Usually those lumps found mostly on chocolate labs, not on yellow or black labs for some reason are fibroid tumors and not cancerous, although sometimes they can turn cancerous but I understood that was rare...we had 3 yellows, 3 blacks (the last was my Samantha) and 2 chocolates, and the chocos get those lumps.
Poor old guy !

For being out in the sticks, you sure have alot of excitement over there !

There was no car in the garage or driveway at his address... The humane society was just here. He does not have a chip, but is licensed, so They will hold him for 30 days I believe, before they will put him down. I took photos, and all his information down, and will post locally that he was found and is now at the shelter. Honestly, I would rather him go to the humane society, and be put down by them, than to iether get torn up by local wildlife "We have alot of large predators in my area." or get hit by a car.

HA! Speaking of excitement! As the humane society was pulling out of my driveway, we heard a HUGE crash up the road... My brother "volunteer firefighter" hopped in his car to check it out. Turns out the crash we heard was a dump truck loosing its breaks coming down the big hill. He turned sharp to miss the house and the truck landed on the pasengers side... Both pasenger and driver are ok and got out under their own power... I'm sure they will be hurting, and the driver looked to be in shock. I will post pictures soon...

Wow What an exciting morning!

I had a load of laundry on the line at about 10 AM...it was sunny and clear !
Then at noon it was pouring.
So had to drag the laundry indoors.
You are having too much excitement !

Well right on schedule the weather turned rainy. I was planning to pull honey at 3 and of course it starts to rain at about 2:30. Well I was determined and took full advantage of a brief dry spell. Got the honey supers pulled and took them to a friend who has an extractor. Letting it drain out tonight and tomorrow I will go see how much honey is in my bucket. Of course we HAD TO SAMPLE. It is AWESOME and it is all from my bees that I started last spring.

I will probably only have about 11/2 gal but for first year that is pretty good.

Well I am pretty happy with em. The package bees have done very well. I also removed a colony from a barn and they are pretty weak but I think with some help I can get em through the winter.

Cheryl: Are you the one who had the dog dumped? Right now I am a bit buzzed on Nyquil, so I may not make sense or be sounding weird. But, I wish I were closer, I would take the old dog to live out his days at my house. I have one geriatric dog now. She is diabetic and needs insulin shots twice a day. Not that expensive at this point. I would love to be able to help. Sorry I am so far away.

Yes I am the one that had the dog that was dumped. He has already gone to the shelter. I drove out there yesterday, and they had him laying in the office with them. So I'm glad he isnt locked into a kennel. Everyone there at the office has fallen in love with him. So hopefully he will have a good outcome.
