I have never had mine do that, but how scarey!!!
The chickens love styrofoam, it is so popcorney!!
I use it to insulate the coop ceilings ONLY...as they will eat it !
They also LOVE the grey split water pipe insulation, ya know the ones that look like water noodles ?
They will go nuts trying to get at it...so does my air head pup dog....

Illia, I must drive over one day soon as have a coffacuppy and talk with you about all these eggciting things you and I are working on !
I would love to discuss my breeding plans too !
Some time upcoming before the winter closes in on us~~~
I would love to see your tillapia tanks, we still have alot of tanks...I actually cut alot in half and use them for garden raised beds now !!
I still have alot of Firestone pond liner too...and have great places to buy it cheap...and I must have 4 or 5 small pumps still...and we have a seasonal (10 mo a year) creek and really want to dig out a pond and divert some of the water...we have at least 30 feet of blue clay so would not need a pond liner, but will stock it will good eating fish !

Tamera !!!!!!!! The babies are so big!
At that gangly stage !!
Hope all is not roos...
The goats are so cute and FAT !!!!
Been wormed ?
Stock up on hay, it is going to go skyhigh this winter.
I got 4 more bales of straw today for my chicken runs that get soooo muddy....and the dog run.
Got 2 more 50# medicated start n grow....2 scratch, 2 layena pellets, 2 16% protein plus rabbit feed...I need to get more next week.
I do not want to pay/ I will not pay $14 for a bale of straw again !!!!!
The goats are so adorable !!!!!
Are your kids (children

He may be a drama queen - but he is gorgeous.

Illia how about if you remove the perch from the breeding pen so she will not have a way to get away ?
Alot of my hens squat when I walk by...uncontrollably they stop and squat :)lol) but they HATE the rooster :lol

Chickielady - If you ever have spare tanks or know someone nearby, let me know. . . Really in need of some. Especially those plastic ones with the metal casing. We haven't started anything yet but plans and purchases on supplies, such as the tanks, growbeds, piping, etc.

Tha 300 gallon tanks in the photo I posted a while back are free, one just needs to call the guy and get on his list, he will call you when the tanks is empty and you go pick them up...do you want me to get some for you and how many ?
I do not think they work for fish, but great for rain water collection...the tanks we used for breeding koi were made of treated lumber, lined with pond liner, I will see if I can find a photo, gotta go into the wayback machine...

The tanks in those previous photos were what we were originally said can work. . . At least I remember them being so.

I'll look into it tomorrow, and tell the fam about it.

there is 4 here, they are 4 X 4 or there abouts, and 300 gallons each and very light when empty, you can actually 'roll' them by yourself.
They have a big screw lid on top about 6" across, and a nice outlet on the bottom of 1 side....let me know and I will call the guy to reserve some for you, we can store them here and them drive them over some day~~~
Good night all:p

I can not find any photos of the koi tanks right now, but here is some of my fish I bred and raised, they are BIG

Well, the fair is over and we are tired. My Polish pullet was Ch. AOCCL at the Open show and the kids did well at the junior show with a silkie going Champion of show and Champion bantam, a call duck going Ch. Waterfowl, and the Polish and araucana bantams going Ch. and Res. AOCCL. We are thinning flocks and have some 4H pullets hatched March 2010 to sell to people wanting nice healthy birds for a backyard flock. We have 4 gold and silver (2 each) sebrights, 2 sultans, and 1 large fowl black cochin. $20 each to good homes, possibly less in groups.
