Do you know Grant Gibbs? He's a farmer in your area (Gibbs Farms I think.) and he and my husband are freinds. Very unusal person, Grant.

I think i know of him. he would be at the farmers market (we sell there too)..... yeah, he is very weird.... a bit organic to the extreme..... thankfully he doesn't sell chicken eggs.

heres one of the 2 white hens. Wyandottes I believe

Ok so... this is a hatchery chick. was to be a white wyandotte hen. Well it does not look like a hen and has started trying to mount.
So is it a wyandotte? The comb looks wrong to me but I'm not sure.

It could be a white wyandotte cockerel with a single comb. Single combs seem to pop up here and there on the wyandottes.

Yeah, I've heard of that on the Wyandotte thread. Rainwolf, are you a subscriber to that one? Called 'the official wyandotte thread'. There was a really good, heated debate going on there with regards to what the good breeders choose which ones will be breeders and which ones are culls...

Yes, Wyandottes can pop up with single combs (usually because of hatcheries) but Your bird has too much of a dewlap and rock-like body.

The girls are indeed Wyandottes though.

Love mocha btw - She's almost a blue duckwing in color.

I'm quickly going thru my emails and have to run to drop off my ballot but wanted to post this link for those who may be looking at generators. I spent about two weeks researching and comparing generators and talking to people. The most knowledgeable guy I talked with was "Chris" on this site:

http://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/compare.php

After driving myself nuts and tying my stomach into knots trying to figure out what the right decision was, I finally wound up getting the GP15000E Generac. You can see it on the site. Btw, they have a sale going on right now and there is no shipping charges or sales tax! That's a big cost savings in and of itself.

Ok, I'm heading out now to drop off my ballot. Spent that last two days interviewing various candidates from the PUD Commissioner, to prosecutors, to Supreme Court justices. This has been a really enlightening experience and I learned a lot by talking to them. This is a really BIG election! No doubt we're gonna see some major issues come up that will directly affect us and I've found that trying to decide which local candidates to vote for has been more difficult that voting for the national positions. That was easy. The local candidates have more of an impact on our lives because they are where the rubber meets the road and talking with them personally has been a big help.

I hope everyone here on BYC has voted or will in the next hour.

God Bless,

Ok I just talked to Scott at http://patriotfarmandbison.com
He might be able to bring stuff up closer to Seattle!
Would anyone in the Seattle area be interested in making a group order every couple months or so?
Maybe we can get a delivery every so often if the order is big enough!
