Yeah, I've heard of that on the Wyandotte thread. Rainwolf, are you a subscriber to that one? Called 'the official wyandotte thread'. There was a really good, heated debate going on there with regards to what the good breeders choose which ones will be breeders and which ones are culls...

Yes, Wyandottes can pop up with single combs (usually because of hatcheries) but Your bird has too much of a dewlap and rock-like body.

The girls are indeed Wyandottes though.

Love mocha btw - She's almost a blue duckwing in color.

What do you mean by 'dewlap'? Do you mean wattles or earlobes? Wyandottes do indeed have wattles.

Just saw this on my break from class, thought I would ask.

No, I mean the space between the wattles. In some breeds, such as Rocks and Brahmas, there is more skin hanging between the wattles, which makes the face look almost as if it is drooping.

I don't see how a dog could do it as it is on the "roof" and in about 4' from any sides. Neighbor kids well that is possible but they know better than to mess with my stuff cause I like to target practice with my paint ball gun. And they know it hurts !!!!!

I never thought of that for my paint ball gun....good idea. Run little children...run....he he he he he

I know it hurts, we used to have shootouts..fun, but painful.

I agree, doesn't sound like dogs to me either, from what I am reading now (what you are describing). Could a basketball have (accidentally) been thrown onto it? Other than that....I agree with census...bird from above, but I would not know.

Eagle.

My incubator with a wafer therm works so excellent...my store bought incubator that is digital is awful !
It is so touchy that just thinking about adjusting the temp can send it over temp by 10 degrees, and then it will swoop below temp when I adjust it, I hate it.
You probably just need a new wafer and they are prevailent, and cheap.

Yes it reminds me of the wattle being stretched from the bottom beak to the neck, rather than just hanging straight down.

Ok I just talked to Scott at http://patriotfarmandbison.com
He might be able to bring stuff up closer to Seattle!

A suggestion..........

For me personally living on the eastside out past Duvall it would depend on what close to Seattle means?
I would think if he brought a load of pre ordered food to a place like Woodinville or Bothell just off 405 he'd have greater chance of obtaining a bigger market.

Not to far for your Seattle people nor Eastside.
Then you could entice the Snohomish people by being closer to them also.

Myself I don't drive into Seattle unless it has to do with work or something I have to do. Not worth it to me.

Definitely interested in stocking up on better feed but the cost, drive time, stress, not worth it to me to go into Seattle.

the location I have now is around auburn or renton.. I'm trying to figure a way to get even more north then that. I'm hoping we can get a group together for orders that would be worth the extra miles/time for him to deliver.

I know my order would be about 1/2 a ton just for me.
