CR: I called and left Scott a message that I would be at the Show Sunday A.M. and if he were not there I will leave the Show and drive to Winlock in the afternoon...hope to see you all there !!!!

And Cheryl: I have too many birds, regular not project layers so the biddies will be rehomed and you have first dibbies if you want them back or I can send you eggs when you are ready...
I have 3 2 yr old hatchery brahma hens, good layers and fantastic girls all around, but not breeding stock by a longshot (one in my avatar)
and the 2 white wyandottes which are really good all around layers, I just am crammed for room for the RIWs I want to develope.
I also may have 2 OE pullets right now at beginning point of lay, (2 sold already) they were broody raised and Duke (the roo who is going bye bye) continues to teach these pullets how to be flighty, they were so tame and everyday they get freakier from him.
So he is on his way to freezer camp unless someone wants him, he is gorgeous, Half BCMaran and Half Blue Am...awesome looking, big and nice to humans so far...but frightened and when he runs, so do the pullets and that has to stop.
I should have a crop of blue, black & splash marans in the next week...as long as fertility held out ?
Don't know how that is has after the cold snap and the poor hatch Rainwolf had, maybe just too late in the season.
Just spoke to Scott, he will be at the show and have a table set up for all to see his raw ingedients as well as sample the milled feed and ask questons, COOL !

So I am off to shop, be back on later~~
Edited to add: I also have 4 or 5 Adult breeder Purebred California Rabbits that I want to get out of, cages and all for sale cheap~~~

I'll get pics in just a moment, was too excited not to say it. For shipped birds, they're VERY confident, friendly, and trusting.

It has to be the same fly. I mean, he didn't wave to me or anything, but how many flies are dumb enough to stay in the same place outside in the snow?

You should bring it inside see if it awakens when it warms up. I've seen flies get into walk-in coolers and as they get cold they fly slower & slower, eventually you easily can grab them in flight. Then if they get out very quickly they are back to top speed.

Russ- of course in a jar.

it rained some time last night and packed down all the snow.... now the snow is wet instead of fluffy.... when it freezed it will be a pain to walk on....

according to weather. we had a little over 16 hours of precipitation..... but only 5 inches of snow in that time.... maybe it was because the wind kept blowing it around instead of settling?

i am suffering from chicken withdrawls.... i remember last christmas since we were saving cash my parents let me get those 3 chicks from nyrail. it was a good gift.... maybe i should drive an hour north and visit this spokane hatchers....... nahh, parents would be ticked if i showed up with more peeps..... but i could smuggle a full grown chicken or two... they dont seem to notice when one of mine go missing, so whos to say they will notice new chickens added??
