That is what they called the one here too. Yet it ripped roofs off a few houses, knocked down entire block of trees and ripped the roof off of the grandstands at the Stampede grounds...yet it was not a "true" tornado....they called it a wind storm. There were photos of a funnel cloud....but it wasn't enough to call a tornado...just a really-really big wind storm.

This
is the exact same size bag and same company of DE I get at Montesano Feed for $25...and no delivery fees.
I just this morning added 1 gal DE and 20 pounds of fine sand and 1/2 can of poultry dust to each of my coop's dust baths...the birds LOVE it !
Even the new birds have it all figured out.
No bugs here !
I wonder what this web site charges for shipping.

Cheryl was the radio station hit by the lightening last night ?

Buy from a local farmer. At least thats what my family does... I can't stand store bought Ham anymore... Way to salty for my taste. But the pork that we get from our local pig farmer is OH SO GOOD!

Usually costs us about $1.50 - $2.00 a pound dressed...

I would agree...but make sure to request a fresh or raw...I don't know what to call it. You don't want it cured or brined or smoked, anything. Raw meat. That is what my parents are picking up. My dad is a recipe searcher and found this one where he has to make his own brine and soak the ham...so I guess it is raw. I am not sure what to call it. A local butcher would be great.

Thanks !

Hemplers has uncured ham that they sell at PCC ...it is quite good. I don't recall if they have any spiral cut. The ham they sell at QFC is cured. I just bought a bunch of various fresh pork meats from the butcher when I picked up our 1/4 cow the other day. I have not tried any of them.

Speaking of which, maybe some of you know some good recipes for grass fed beef or pork. We buy 1/4 cow each fall, but the 4 of us can never get through it all. I end up giving about 1/4 of it to friends, and I have some very happy dogs. Ground meats I can figure out, but I put almost everything else into a slow cooker with homemade BBQ sauce. If I try and BBQ steaks on the grill, I end up over-cooking them.

We are going to eat more beef this year as we lost our Alaskan Seafood connection (we eat seafood 4X per week). Thinking about taking the kids on a fishing vacation to Alaska next year as I can't see paying grocery store prices for not-so-fresh wild salmon.

Horrid weather here too, high winds, very heavy rain, hail .... My metal roof makes too much noise for me to hear the thunder unless it is right overhead ... we got hit in the spring 2 yrs ago and it took out all DH's theater and stereo equipment. We have not been able to replace it, so we got rid of our cable subscription. Kids are doing much better in school now.

Some are metal, some paper mache, some wood, theres one thats resin based, a couple are porcelain. There were so many there that I couldn't get them all! But I just had to share, cause I thought you all would get a kick outta them! I also got these pictures of mexican vehicles, that are so detailed inside and out, that if you look through the windows the peole in the busses, trucks, car, ect all have exspressions. So neat! Every where I turned there was something new to look at!
