I tried to take a nap but DH wanted to take a nap too (like he never gets any sleep !!)
Of course after about 5 minutes he is snoring like somebody trying to start a chain saw with no gas in it.

So I just hopped outta bed and turned on the TV and computer, to applesauce with it !!
Dh went out to wire his fort.
Wish he would have just wired his fort and let me sleep...

Well, to make a long story short, I have two sons and a hubby and it's a whole lot easier to deal with 2 boys than 3. I can deal with my sons better with hubby gone anyway. The AWOL son came in at 6:30 am as we were leaving for the airporter. DH was still home. I deal with stuff either way. Mine snores too, I'll be able to get more sleep and sleep in the bed instead of the couch. Ah, a nice quiet comfy bed with a down comforter. Pure heaven. I can also cook what I like. I am having, from the winter garden, cabbage, brussel sprouts and beets for dinner. Hubby hates all those. So a dinner I love with no guilt. Oh, and I can spend all the time I want on the computer!

It's not until you hold him that you realize that his size is deceptive. The breed must be very clsoe feathered, as he is far heavier than he looks. I was admiring him and asked Tim how heavy he was, and I held him. He's a very 'meaty' bird.

Should be for a heritagwe dual purpose breed.
My observation was to compare him to mine, and he is smaller than my birds...the breed in general is smaller, but I like that.
There is nothing wrong with a dual purpose bird that does not eat like a horse and take a year and a hlf to mature...he is beautiful too !
Eye candy for sure !
And he appears to be very docile, and does not mind being handled, that is good, hopefully he continues to be nice to his human keepers (and the kids!) after he gets a harem !

Our cabin is so small that there is no where to go to escape the trombone and chain saw snoring...and my favorite: the big bear snort in the ear !
I cannot tell you how many time the bear snort in the ear (especially when it is soooo quiet) launches me outta bed as if electrocuted !!! Heart pounding...one night I will have a heart attack !
I am officially going to stop building coops (until next spring for the Javas) and build myself that "Hobbit House" I talked about last spring, for guests (or me!)...just little place maybe 8 X 8...looking for plans ideas....I LOVE BEETS TOO!!!!!!!!

Anyway just got home, spent the brunch with Rainwolf and got to sit and talk to her and DIY...and his beautiful big eyed son...had an awesome salad at a great neighborhood coffee/restaurant.
I love the tiny quail and the funny noises they make...and she has Fabio!
The most gorgeous Buff Orp roo...what a beautiful boy.
Farming right in the middle of Seattle !

Boy and if anyone is looking for China, antiques and collectibles, Rainwolf's Mom has so much cool stuff !
Wish I had a bigger place !
I was just itching to buy stuff...but have no room !
Next year....

And have not gone back through posts but wanted to ask Illia about some moths that were laying eggs all over (I mean ALL over) my pen's bird net covers, an acre of them, every night for a week or two...it was a mystery these semi large white moths with glowing green eyes in the flash light...laying white and gray eggs...then the eggs fell off with the rains and I think are all gone now...what were they ?
Well, tired from driving and sitting all day and have a double duty of chores to do tomorrow since we were gone all day today, so signing off, so until tomorrow guys~~

Oh found this post before I logged off...yes, after several days I watched more and more eggs were deposited every day when I woke up...all along the plastic bird netting...and so one night I got the high powered flash light and went out and I could see green glowing tiny eyes all over, about 2 - 3 sets of eyes per sq foot, laying eggs.
So I quit worrying about it, but now I am wondering if they were something that would harm my animals, fruit trees or is this just a common moth indeginous to the hardwood in the area (alder), or spruce ?
If I see any again I will trap them to show you, or eggs.

Come to the Home Depot in Gig Harbor. We have Weiners! Polish too. A girl sleep over would be fun but you better hurry, DH is back on Monday. I have a down comforter for the couch too. All kidding aside, I miss him. He keeps texting me about all the great Mexican food he's eating (he's Mexican/Am Indian. Dad died when he was a youngster and Moms the cook and shes from Guadelupe). Can't wait to tell him about MY food! He's going to want to stay down there. Really need to send him away more often. We do cook some really good Mexican though. My fav is authentic Chile Rellenos, whole fire roasted Ancho chiles stuffed with cheese, dipped in egg, and fried. DH makes the best Enchiladas too. He also makes this breakfast dish with corn tortillas and eggs. And we never eat refried beans from the can. Always make them fresh. I love Mexican food. Kind of jealous he's down there eating it every meal but I would get so fat. Good thing I love vegetables.

The space-bator is awesome and all sparkley clean now! I've got it up and running to find the perfect temp setting

And OMG those egg trays are perfect! they are 100% perfect size for my wine-cooler bator in progress!
I am currently using the wine-cooler bator as a hatcher but once the turner is created and built it is a absolute perfect fit!

Once the Space bator is stable I'll be moving some of my quail eggs into the bator to make room for those gorgeous maran eggs!
