Yes 300 FPS is the max you want. If you play on a field most will chrono to make sure you are "legal".
There is no real advantage to going over as it will cause more paint to break in the gun. And yes 300 FPS stings a bit and WILL draw blood welts so don't be surprised. But if painting furry critters you do want the pressure up close to the limit. I always chrono'ed my gun before play but the store you bought at should be able to do it for you or any (paint ball) play field. Also make sure to gently roll the box of paint balls weekly to keep them from getting flat spots.

Good point about rolling the balls. Oh, the memories of balls breaking in the gun. I still need to get DH photo up of his welt. Once, I was shot rather close up, on full auto - probably about 10-15 ft away and hit with 10 balls or so.....I had a huge bruise on my thigh. Oh, the memories.....ah.......

Sorry, messing around with quote stuff and accidentally hit the send button. Just thinking how cute it would be if you made it like a real hobbit house with mud walls and grass roof. But wonder how long it would last in the PNW?

yeah, I thought of that too, an d maybe next summer will make a little retreat "poetry house" up on the hill out of logs and maybe stucco...chicken wire, etc.
But the Hobbit House we have to build for guests, kids when they come visit, Rainwolf to come visit, etc.

Ugg... I need a second set of hands, or another me... DD is being the typical 2 year old, into everything, and sweet as can be. Chickens are happily roaming the property, dogs are spoilt, house is mostly picked up, laundry is no where near finished, and I have to work on trailer loading with Prada...

My trainer called and asked if tomorrow is a good day for a session... Its a great day for it, but... I can't work on trailer loading with a 19 month old filly, and watch DD at the same time... I can wait until DH gets home, but that only leaves me with 30 minutes at best, before it gets dark... I'm really hoping that DD goes down for her nap soon. But knowing my luck lately, she wont go down until her Dad gets home...

Hey Chickielady! Wanna come help? lol

Oh found this post before I logged off...yes, after several days I watched more and more eggs were deposited every day when I woke up...all along the plastic bird netting...and so one night I got the high powered flash light and went out and I could see green glowing tiny eyes all over, about 2 - 3 sets of eyes per sq foot, laying eggs.
So I quit worrying about it, but now I am wondering if they were something that would harm my animals, fruit trees or is this just a common moth indeginous to the hardwood in the area (alder), or spruce ?
If I see any again I will trap them to show you, or eggs.

Hey, does it look like any one of these ?

I'd love pics though.

- It is likely just something that eats the alders, grass, or weeds. Especially around this time of year, you're just likely to get any of these:

OK Illia, the moths were light, I am pretty sure they were a solid off white.
They were about 1 3/4" nose to tip of wings.
They also folded their wings tight over their bodies, not spread open like those shown above.
There were hundreds !
Their little beady eyes glowed green by my flashlight...
They laid eggs in rows on the plastic bird netting that were off white to grey and were the size of #2 sand, a large grain of sand.
I cannot find any of the eggs and have not seen any of the moths in a few weeks, I did not know you were into moths until you posted a few days ago about the whip scorpion...and you said you collect moths.
Sorry, next time I will capture some for you.

I am procrastinating mucking an entire run out, about 20x30 foot with poopy wet straw in it about 8" deep, so heavy...then I have to shovel wood chips in a trailer, drive it up here and unload it in the run

I need to hire a teen age kid after school job....

I am going to list my BBS Marans flock on CL here one of these days...gotta make room for the Javas...they are getting big.
And I have to narrow down my interests to heritage breeds.
Chickens for Christmas !
The fun gift that just keeps on giving !
