CL- Wish I could have came today! I was bored silly!!! But waiting for a check in the mail before I can go on any trip. (if you know what I mean!!) I am watching the weather and hopefully we don't get hit with too much snow and Friday will still work. Plus, come Friday I should have about 15 eggs for you!

Rainwolf:::: I just ordered over $40 worth of seeds, everything from Tomatoes to Artichokes all for the area and no corn, brussel sprouts or cabbage (no room) and corn is to cheap and easy to buy at 4 for $1 in the summer....and I will not use it all !
Anyone else local maybe we can meet up and seed trade. I have a big baggies of nasturtiam & flower seeds I saved also that we can pass out an oz to whomever...

DH just called, PG&E just reconnected the power, house is all lit up, got the generator disconnected and all is rehooked up to the grid.
Tomorrow he is going to open the big garage and turn the solar array back on...requires some off-on line imfo...then load the van with boxed up stuff...and will drive back probably Thursday early and that is when we are having the big snow, right ??
And the Southern Oregon -Northern California Siskiyou s (Wolk Creek Summit) can be sacrey !
Snow ok, but freezing rain up there can be really bad.
He has studs and chains (real chains) so he will no doubt come regardless of any storms, we shall see.
OK, off to my tea and bed again.
I did manage to clean 2 chick pens, sterilize with bleach spray and add new shavings, bricks and the water/ffod bottles and infra red lamps all ready, and put 19 eggs in lockdown, and in 4 days 20 more go into lockdown...meanwhile I have this cry baby Java Cockeral that is at the ugly-cute stage...wants to be in here. Maybe I can let him live in a bird cage on my dresser...who was that, that had that, (alot of that's) big paper mache rooster, Teresa ???

I feel so bad that she has to sell so many of her animals !
Wish I had a goat shelter and had hay to feed it....I also have no goat pen or fencing for a goat.....bummer cuz it is a great price for the kinder doe she is selling !

Speaking of seeds I got my catalog yesterday in the mail from EandR Seeds.I can't wait to order,I havent had time to look through it yet.
I did go to BYCs sister site The Easy Garden and theres someone selling Blue Cherry Tomato seeds that he has developed.I think I might buy some and try it out.

I mainly plant heirloom seeds and I have 2 places i normally buy from due to the large amount of heirlooms they have avail.

My neighbor is holding a drum session tonight. Its kinda nice, take the dogs out to go potty, and listen to the drums. Hopefully they wont go past 9:30 - 10, as those drum beets travle quite far, and you can hear them inside my house.

I think it's only original name, is Willamett.

How about The Dalles, Hood River, Dufur, Boyd, Wamic and Mosier to name a few. I just happen to be a transplant.
