It is currently 7 degrees and snowing.

We are having a Southern New Years Dinner, learned from my grandmother

Pork Roast
Coleslaw
Blackeyed peas
corn pudding
and biscuits

What are you all doing today?

yes, eat BEPs! I think it's a Southern tradition. Although I'm from Texas and we do it too. I remember eating them with my great grandparents.

We had a great taco feed with guacomole, cheese, olives, tomatoes, diced green chilis, corn tortillas fried, sour cream, taco meat and refried beans !
Ate til we hurt...had New Year's confetti cake with multi-colored white chocolate chips all over it, and ice cream.
Sleep like a log, our water froze, and it is 24 here.

Jbear: I do not want to destroy the yule log, it is too pretty.
Gotta go to Mom and Dad's for steelehead today I think...we shall see...

Sitting here at the computer looking out the windows with the sun shining into them. Boy, they sure are in need of a really good cleaning. I bet the house would be lighter if the windows weren't so opaque. I'm usually so busy I don't even think about the windows but this low winter sun is really pointing it out. Would probably spend the day cleaning windows if the hoses weren't frozen. Yada yada yada. Ok, going out to haul hot water to the animals and feed.
