I remember someone talking about how we 'city folk' are afraid of the dark. Maybe it's cause we don't know who might be lurking in the shadows

Here is what I miss from the Midwest: warm rain (late spring), purple/green skies (late spring), tiny toads/frogs jumping everywhere after they hatch (late summer), crickets and other various wildlife. (not woodpeckers, though) *sigh*
