Look under the hood see if there is a box that looks like a fuse box. Open it and see if there are several relays, they will be about 1" square. If there are look for one that says EFI or fuel pump. Trade it with one that says something that is not important like A/C. See if this solves it. I would suspect it is a relay rather than the pump but. If they are fuses same thing and look for any that are bad.
ETA this will most likely be on the driver side inner fender.

Oh wait. i think i will let someone else do what you recommended that would know what a relay is.
i will look and see if i can tell what i am looking at. sometimes, it makes sense when you see it.
maybe this will be easier, hence cheaper to fix?
