And yes these domestic crows are probablly way wilder than wild crows would be. And at goodie time they will sneak in grab goodies then run off and hide with em.

lol If it was just a dull pain, I would still have one now and then. I can handle dull pain, but the searing pain, like hot iron being shoved in my joints, I can't handle.

My family thinks its all in my head, and hey! Maby it is. But I still wonder and sometimes want a little sipper.

It's not in your head. My mom gets it and there is a name for it. I'm thinking it is possibly an indicator of an autoimmune type condition ... I tuned it out because mom is a hypochondriac. I will ask her next time she's willing to talk to me. (She's angry with me because she siad I did not call to wish her a Happy New Year, only I'm certain I did. I called in the morning on the 31st to get it over with because when she is feeling sorry for herself, she gets mean and says unkind things about everyone. I figured it would be better to end 2010 on a bad note than to start 2011 on a bad one, so I called on the 31st and sent her a card onthe first)

My EE's are friendly but flighty. They aren't too bright either. If they are sitting on a perch when they spot me coming to greet them, they fly SMACK! right into the gate! You can see a hen do this a couple times and then catch on that this is not such a good idea, but these two do it nearly every day! They are my only girls that I won't let free range because I'm sure they'd be 70' up a Doug Fir in no time.

French Marans have to have feathered shanks, and usually a few toes.
English version is cleaned legged.
The Splash always seem to have more feathers on their shanks than the blacks or blues.

1 baby is white with clean shanks... but came from a maran egg! so what color do you think it will be?

Very sharp knife or hatchet.

if your going to bleed em I use a box cutter with a new razor blade
or the quick is to sock em in a old sleeve (from a old sweatshirt/shirt etc) and use a hatchet.

I suppose it is the acid in the water that helps ?
He is not acting sick at all...and he has been eating , drinking and poos several times a day...he has vaseline on his hind end at the moment, supposed to keep the poop from sticking.

It really needs to raw apple cider vinegar.

Skinning the bird is the fast easiest way to process the bird. I have taken to even de-boning the meat before I freeze it. You will also want to age the meat in the refrigerator for a day or two before eating it. That allows the rigor to pass out of the meat. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me and I will give you my phone number.
