Most important thing about selecting birds is WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS. Like do you want high egg production, do you want pretty birds, friendly, large eggs or smaller, what color eggs do ya want white (

) brown, very dark brown, green, blue, olive etc. Also keep in mind that if you buy from a feed store you are probably really just getting a bird that resembles the breed they say it is. If you want true to the breed go to a breeder and there are plenty on here that are not too far from you.

Been thinking I should get my seed start shelves built and was ready to go on Monday and buy the wood.
Yet, God is GOOD!
Went to a moving sale this morning and picked all these up for $15.00
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

The great day wasn't over.
Wife wanted to stop at the thrift store.
Went in and there it was......... two timers for buck a piece. YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Well, G'Night all. I love hovering (lurking) around here and reading what all's going on with y'all. I need my beauty sleep. Going to spend the day with my daughter and her family in Monroe tomorrow and hem her new britches. She has a very fun number of geese ducks chickens pheasants and some little kind of birds... can't remember which. I love to hear her ducks and geese talk with her. And so, have a specially wonderful weekend all and let's all get braced for the day of sunshine that's approaching... WooHoo

DH made it home today safely, he didn't even very upset we got him a interesting dog. Well so DH come home to another man dog. I really need to stop look at where
I am going. And I need to be banned from the craistlist's pet section.

Today I tried to shovel the 12" snow from the chicken run, I did not get very far. Good thing I did not get very far, Its Snowing again.
