Ok I do not want to get in the middle of any drama but.........

I was just at CL's place and I have seen the roo in person with my own eyes! Now I don't know anything about chickens cuz I'm a duck whisperer but 1 thing I do know is.....

It is a real roo! It is a huge roo! It is a very TALL roo!!! I am 5'1" tall and it very easily was taller than my waist. It is truly that clean and white too!! I was impressed myself with the monster!

Oh and yes CL is teaching it that "white roo's can jump"!!!!

It is the funniest thing ever!! She would hold up a treat and he kept jumping higher and higher to reach it!! Pretty soon it will be jumping over her like an agility dog!!!

Ok that is my 2 cents.... for what it is worth....

Hi guysm=, all is well.
Apparently some odd thing happened last night to the photos, and Illia was not the only one who saw the photos stretching, and it was not her fault..she truly did see somethinmg weird and thought I had done it..wish I would have seen it.
So, all is well.
The giant baby Huey RIW is gonna play basketball !
I am getting a little hoop and gonna attach it in his run and teach him to jump up and sink the ball.
He is a cool bird.
I have to go to Elma today and pick up game bird eggs to hatch..and come back here and fire up the GQF big incubator..it is time.
The warmth also keeps the tomatoe starts happy as they sit on top of the cabinet.

The computer info was from Jupiter's husband. He has a computer business up in the Bellingham area. They were very nice, too bad she stopped posting shortly after the potluck. Maybe it was because she couldn't get a word in edgewise.

I had a very productive weekend, even if I didn't do ANYTHING with building the coop or run! My hardware cloth shipped out (and I'm watching the fedex page like a hawk..it's shipping from Spokane to Spokane, it just needs to get on a truck!), I gorilla glued paper towel to both thumbs, fore fingers, AND middle fingers (long story...but the little drawer I was trying to fix did get fixed), and I ordered my chicks!!!! Though, technically, that last one I'm supposed to say I did today...the nice ladies at the feed store let me order them on Saturday when I told them I'd be back in today, lol. I really wanted some green eggs, but I wasn't willing to wait until almost May to get them! So, I ordered 2 SLW and 1 BR. I can't wait until they get here! I bought feed and water dishes while I was there, along with a brooder lamp and red bulb. I had a 5% off coupon, which basicaly covered the tax, so that was nice. I still need bedding and feed, but figure I should wait at least on the feed until closer to when someone will be using it.

I saw a fellow chicken keeper while I was there...he bought bedding and from what I overheard (standing at the register paying for my stuff), he bought the last bag they had? Is this something the feed stores run out of often or was I just there on a weird day? I would hate to have no bed for my chickens!

Current outside temp is 18 (yikes), so I don't think I'll be going out to rake under the deck anytime today...looks like Thursday this week, then maybe Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday the next week are going to be days I can get outside without freezing my own bits off! The weather would pick up and be nice and warmish while I'll be gone this weekend...go figure! Once I get the area raked, I can get the piers out there and leveled...then coop building 101 can begin! I think/hope I have all the wood I need.

Well, I didn't take it serious! and I might add I have noticed he gets the thread going at night then all of a sudden he's got to feed the dragon, get horizontal and count chickens and leaves everyone hanging. LOL I got to get too, winter pruning jobs. Need to get caught up so I have time for a road trip with the Chicky.

About the thread being dead - seems that way until the afternoon. Sometimes it will be going a buzz in here late until the wee hours, I will come post and everyone seems to have disappeared, and CR thinks he can kill a thread.. sheesh ..
