just for fun.. will you be bringing yours??
and butterscotch calls, and white cochins, some seramas.. maybe my two partridge silkies, if they are done molting by then. Their crests are trashed. Also depends on how many I feel like bathing! lol! Those white cochins are a chore.

Does anyone have the old style Brinsea Octagon 10?? not the cute little round jobby, but the older cylindrical one?? It's still air. I am having questions about humidity, and whether to run it dry until later? or?? I consistently lose eggs in this incubator. The turner is older, and kinda vibrates, I was wondering if this is doing it? I took this batch off the turner, last night--so partially thru the incubation-- out of curiosity. The temp maintains beautifully. 100. all the time. I will candle in a few days again, but last night it looked like some eggs started then died.

I am SO glad I have my NEW incubator which has a zillion eggs in it and all seem to be doing very well.

I'll be showing black bantam Ameraucanas, and I THINK a buff bantam Faverolles or two...probably no LF this time, my car is just too small to transport large enough cages...

And I'll have an Ameraucana / Faverolles Clubs table.

Do you all live close enough or are you staying in hotels? Anybody know which hotel is closest to the showgrounds?

I'll be at the show. I think each of the girls and myself will be bringing a pair, not sure which ones yet though.

The only hotel I would stay at in Monroe is the Best Western and it's very very close to the fairgrounds.

Long day here. Just got home an hour ago from taking 11 yr old DD for a consultation with the oral surgeon and running errands. She needs to have 4 baby molars pulled that are fused to her jaw before braces can go on. Scheduled that for a month from tomorrow.

My 15 yr old DD is going in for surgery tomorrow on her foot. After months of complaining of pain on the bottom of her big toe, turns out she has an extra free floating sesmoid bone, which needs to be removed.

Looking forward to the weekend!!!

Gosh, wish I could come to the show just to see all the birds and maybe learn some of the breeds. I sure like the cochins...puffy bottoms. Their pantaloons fly up in the wind.

You need to come and make a weekend of it! If nothing else, you can meet a bunch of us! Maybe you can squeeze in with Heather?

Ugh - that's a nightmare! I had the same thing when I was a kid. I wish MY dentist would've sent me to an oral surgeon! Nope - Just yanked 'em out with pliers! I was 4-5 years old for most of them.

And thanks for the hotel tip!!

Jen....it is just never ending, isn't it? they just keep adding up and up and up. Well I have 9 right now and plan to add more in the spring. Do I need more? NOt really. Do I want more? You betcha. I love reading about all the incubators and everyone hatching babies...I would love to...but have no real need to.

Can anyone guide me to the websites for both Monroe and Stevenson shows? If there are any sites. . .
