Ok, I have completely frustrated myself with this coop build today... So I quit. At least for now. I know its time to stop, when I start yelling at the lumber! lol

I was able to get the spot for the nesting box's framed in, spot for the door framed, and the frame for the door itself built. Doesnt sound like an entire lot, but when you have no clue what your doing, and your doing it by yourself... Well its frustrating. I over measured the wood for the door, even with measuring the spot 4 times... I didn't take into concideration that the door has to have room to swing!

So had to take 1/4" off each piece, then re-check my measurments, and check again and again...

The framed door is now sitting in place, waiting for me to finish it. But my poor brain is fried!!!

I need someone who has a clue as to what I am doing, so I can pick their brain...

I have one person who was a framer. I say was, because he fell off a 3rd story scafolding "sp?" and braced his fall with his arms. Now both his wrists are fused together, so not a lot of help there... So the most he can do for me is be the stupid-visor. And that does help, because I know I am capable of building this myself, I just dont know how. But I CAN do it!!! I have to do it. lol Ive got chicks that will be coming home in about a month or so!

That and my older girls need a better coop.

Maby I will ask my step dad if he is willing to help me. He was a carpenter 30 some odd years ago. lol
