Oh heck - so that would mean in just a few months I will suddenly grow very intolerant. I just knew one day I'd end up being a cranky old woman. (Preparing now to stand on my front porch and yell at all the neighborhood youngsters...)

I already am a cranky old woman, and mean as the day is long!
I hate little kids!
I hate neighbors with loud dirt bikes, and I hate stoopid teenage boys with their butts hanging out.
I hate everyone that spray paints on everything like a cat pees on a bush and has no regard for those that have to clean it up....and that is why I am loving being up here on my hill all alone

I generally hate stoopid, mean, and disrespectful people..those who constantly disregard everyone and nature..those that toss crap out their car windows without a second thought, those that continueally blast their stereos with no regard to the poor neighbor IN DAYTIME who is trying to sleep due to working nightshift or illness.
And I worked nightshift for decades, and I hate people that think it is OK for their dogs to bark ALL DAY while they are at work or their kids to scream and fight all day when they are not even home from work yet...we night shift people have just as much right to a good sleep as everyone else.
So, yes I am a mean cranky and intolerant and nasty old woman and I love it !!

and I adore all of you!!

I Love BYC.
Do you realize that most of us talk more to each other than we do with our families ?
Seriously, I speak to my sister about 1 X a month..and my grown kids about 3 X a month.
But to you all every day.
Well, this cranky mean old woman is going to shower and dessert, and bed, early day and road trip tomorrow.
And a serious map to arrange for the trip on Sunday, DH expects me as navigator to have the directios to and from and to all written down !
And I would love to see the "Seattle Family" at Rainwolf's but we will not be able to stay but a little while...good night all~~

You don't have to become cranky and intolerant, but if you do, it's better for everyone if you move yourself to one of those communities.

Isn't that bizzare? The way the internet has changed things I mean. Yes, my kids have started rolling their eyeballs when I mention BYC!!! But they are excited to go to the show and meet all y'all!!!

Thanks for the hugs, Robin, Deidra & Tamara.
I hope the duckies make it too.
I think I shall go plant some seeds instead.
Got the tray warmer & jiffy pots all puffed up & ready to go.
Maybe I'll start some scarlet runner beans in a rain gutter as well.

The quilt is gorgeous. It looks like the quilt kit from Amazon. I wish I could help you about the sideways thing. But it's all I can do to turn mine on.

I so agree with you Greg. The level of control is becoming overwhelming. I know that while I don't want be annoyed by constant noise, that there will be times when noise happens. I can remember having a neighbor that complained because one day the little boys were playing in the street (cul-de-sac) with a wagon. The neighbor was upset because they were making a little noise. It was less than an hour in the middle of the day. There is a point when people are to critical of everything. I would have understood if the kids played like that all day every day. But maybe an hour in the middle of the day, and it wasn't like the kids were screaming either.

I think that the ones that complain are often the ones with major control issues. It's sad when these people can control everyone else around them.

That is why I don't think that I could live in one of those 55 communities. I would always be pushing some kind of limit.
