just wanted to say hi to everyone after this oh so busy winter, and to celebrate the first hatches of spring. We have a bunch of cute BLRW and marans on the ground. Next are spitzhaubens (finally fertile after i borrowed a lovely rooster) and bbs and lavender ameraucanas.

I love hatching babies.

if anyone has a gold laced polish roo, I'm looking for one.
Both the roos I had for my frizzle tolbunt hen did not pan out, the tolbunt due to a genetic defect and the gold laced polish I bought as a chick is not fertile.

Jean, those lavender ameraucana crosses you sold me are enormous. I'm very excited to see the we hatch from them. They should really help me get the lavender size up. the hen also has quite lovely egg color. If you come this way for any shows, I'd love to buy some more chicks from you.

Marsha Peterson, who created the frizzle tolbunt, did so by using a frizzle white Polish. You might consider trying this for a cross instead of the gold-laced. If you are interested, I have an extra bearded white you can have.
