Congrats! What kind are you getting?

I'm justgetting the eco 20 with turner. Nothing overly fancy, I am running on a budget. lol

That one tempts me, though I think I'd get in less trouble with the mini. Have FUN!

Eggsactly. I was tempted by that one, too, but I ordered the mini. I wouldn't be able to resist filling one capable of incubating 20 eggs.

My daughter in law was asking about black chickens, meaning silkies, last night. I'd be willing to grow some for her, but she'd have to process them herself.

Oh, and in Monroe, I asked everyone about a Thai restaurant and no one has seen one, there is a Vietnamese one though, on Main St, called 'Basil & Chives' and of couse a few blocks from Hwy 2 DOWNTOWN where on Saturday there is NO where to park...unless we carpool from the Fairgrounds and park far away & hoof it ?

I'm pretty sure Basil & Chives is closed due to the fact that there is NO place to park.

The Thai restaurant is called Benjarong Thai and it is AWESOME, but teeny tiny. It is on SR 2 next to the Mi Tierra Mexican restaurant which is on the corner of SR 203 and SR 2 (orange building). The Thai place is down a few doors in that building. Here's their menu: http://www.hellothaifood.com/benjarong/index.html

I
thought we were doing Alfy's Pizza and Pasta cause we could fit everyone there and easy parking?

Lucky,Lucky, I wish I could get one and start hatching out my own, the only problem with it is I live inthe city and we are only allowed so many chickens. If I had a incubator I'd be using it all the time.

OK, so I decided to get some of the eggs that the ducks kicked out of the nest. I had been leaving them because I wasn't sure.

WELL- Most of them were cracked. Hmmm... maybe these ducks DO know what they are doing!!

Thank goodness SOMEONE does!!

So just for giggles the twins and I huddled in their bathroom. (darkest room in the house) Turned out the lights and used the brightest LED flashlight we had to try and "candle" our duds.

COOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

Most of them just had the blood ring thingy going on. But a couple of them were really dark and the airsack was very distinct. No movement tho. Like I said these were the ones that were kicked out of the nest. DUCKY REJECTS!

It was really fun to check out tho! My girls were loving it! Ok, so was I!

Who know! Maybe we will actually have ducklings hatch the "Old Fashioned Way" around March 14th!!!!
