A fertile egg will have a white bullseye in the yolk verses an irregular edged circle. Blood spots in eggs is not an indication of fertlity.

Would it indicate a fertile egg that is growing? The blood spot was less like a spot and more like a smear.

Probably not. Blood spots are a common occurence and are more noticable in a very fresh egg and tend to dissipate as the egg gets older. An egg that is growing will have more than just a smear of blood. There will also be little veins developing along the shell. There are websites with good pictures of developing embreyos. Can't recall any right now but you could do a search or if anyone knows a good one off hand can you post a link?

I think part of the reason why she wanted to go is bcause I made them mop the floors after they came running through the house with their snowboots on (we have 16" here), and they had just been in the chicken coop so there was chicken poop and pine shavings stuck in the puddles from their boots, and then I had them put all their dishes in the dishwasher after dinner, and when I went to check on them, they tossed their clothes all down the hallway and the bathroom floor when they put on their PJ's, so I flipped on the lights and told them to get out of bed and pick up the mess! Guess I'm a mean mommy - I got "But my mother just tells my sister and I to make a path to the bed so she doesn't have to step on things when she sings us our lullabies."

I haven't sung a lullabye since DD could sit up! I think I must be a shrew in her friends eye!

And you said, "My house. my rules." It's good for kids to find out that not everyone does things the same way. Makes them more flexible.

Fortunately, I can't hear the chickens from my bedroom. I don't do mornings, either. If I could just convince the dog to stop whining outside the bedroom door, it would be perfect.

I bring my feeder in at night.

Hugh' I hear that.
These last couple days they have been telling me................WATER........I can't drink.
On that note I better get some shut eye as it looks like......... MORE WARM WATER tomorrow.

Poor huming birds are going to have to wait till the thaw.

Not always at my house. DH made a hummingbird food heater, for the really cold days.

My son who speaks Geek was here yesterday working on mine. He's surprised it still works. It's 8 or 9 years old. He said the the hard drive normally burns out or something by now.

It's good to know that I don't have the only freaky keyboard out there. Right now the space bar doesn't want to work very well.

Mine neither, I have to hit it multiple times and then go back and edit. You once posted a photo of something and your laptop was in the background. You and I have the same hp laptop, only mine is missing a few keys (I kind of broke some when trying to clean some crud out from under the keys). Now I have to remember what the numbers and letters are and be sure to press the little black nubby thing that sat under the key.

Okay, DH is pacing, I better go. He hates when I wake him.

Just this week she has decided she likes spinach salad, and has one every day, so there is hope for her yet!''I do force her to eat greens, takes her half an hour to eat 3T of peas or a couple broccoli spears, and she's gagging the entire time!

I was also a member of the clean plate club... But we had to eat our food in a specific order. Vegi's, starch, and then meat. To this day I still eat like this. It drives me nutts at times, but I cant seem to kick the habbit.
