So we're supposed to get more wind tonight--35-45mph gusts and blowing snow! ARGHH! It's been snowing out for a few hours already and now starting to accumulate. My DH got my entire coop cleaned (scraped down to bare floor) and now I'm on the hunt for someone to make me some custom cages for my bantams...I think I found some for $155.00 for a set of three cages...so I'm excited!

Okay, You struck a nerve here in regards to my DD. I went to post some rather personal stuff and thought better of it. I am going to email you with some questions. Please be on the watch for it.

Edited: Oh, btw....you were adorable.

Blueducklings - Yes only 1 duckling hatched out of CL & I's incubating experiment. I was going to get her a friend but she got so spoiled from day 1 that she is happiest on the couch watching TV with us!

Oh and as far as the clutch of eggs that my ducks have been sitting on........

The Old Fashioned Duck Hatch project if officially over.

We went out to check on everyone and change water buckets and all the eggs had been kicked out of the nest and were cold. The girls were not all crazy mad about me going into the house either like they had been before.

I cracked all the eggs open to see what was going on and....... a handful were frozen, 1 had a hole in it and was empty....

Feel free (notice I offer her services) to ask Illia about GF foods as well, many members of her family are celiac and have some other allergies as well...Illia has lots of great recipes !

Yes, we even have to keep away from rice flour lately when serving to some members, because of its high carbohydrate content. That's when Quinoa, Coconut, and a few other flours help. . . . Too bad Quinoa is too expensive to buy for scratch recipes. But golly there are so many fun flours out there. . . My latest new fun ones are Sorghum and Tapioca.

Still on the look for a good Angel Food Cake one, but I'm sure to think of creating one with Tapioca and Coconut flour. Both very fine flours, both with very complimentary flavors for Angel Food Cake.
