We have a Tom that makes his rounds through our area twice a year. He sticks around for about 2 months out of the year. Spring and fall, I'm guessing its because of the deer that are birthing, and then fall is because of the salmon? Or maby there is something else around here in the fall that he is eating. I am always cautious after dark around here, as we have a HUGE pack of coyotes, bear, coons, and of course the cougar. The coyotes and coons have learned to stay clear of my pastures, as I have a grumpy mare that will stomp any medium sized four legged citter that she doesn't know... I have had to warn ALL my neighbors who have dogs, to keep them out of my pastures! Its a really good deterent. Maby I should get a warning sign to hang on my fence about the attack horse that patrolls the fields. lol
