I dont know T but if they suspect UC they should check for Crohns, I have Crohns and it was first spotted on CT during an ER visit. UC and Crohns are closely related. they attack different parts of the GI tract. it is autoimmune disease. mine was confirmed with Colonoscopy. along with UC or Crohns comes RA and a host of other side effects... the joint pain is crippling. IF they come up with either one I can point her to some really helpful groups and support. There are a number of other things that can present the same symptoms and for her sake...I am really hoping its one of the others ... I would not wish either of these diseases on anyone.

ETA I fought this for 5 years before being diagnosed, you can not describe the pain this disease causes...

I don't know if shes had this done but after watching mystery diagnosis and people with stomach issues she sould get an upper GI also with the barium stuff. With the lazy doctors these days you really need to be your own health advocate and force these doctors to do things or they never will. They will just let you die.

She already has UC, already had these tests, whatever this is, it is beyond that.
She has UC and other issues of Auto-immune disorders involving anemia & spleen removal, her twins had it also, and spleenectomies.
I have celiac & possible lupus...just had RA tests and was negative.
I just got ahold of some gluten a few days ago, don't know how, and was hoping it was just the flu.
Wrong.
This is near crippling.

We took some fairly strong gusts as the front was starting to push through awhile ago. We lost our in a December storm in 2004. DH re-roofed the house over the Christmas holidays. By doing the roof ourselves we were able to put on a roof that should take up 90 miles in hour. DH and his dad and brother nailed the east facing roof on with 4 to 5 nails per shingle. The bad winds that we get always comes from the east.

In 1982 there were gusts of over a 120 mile per hour out here in Enumclaw. It blew barns over that year. We have never seen the winds over 65 since we have lived here. I think it had to do with the logging up on Chinook Pass area in '82. As the years have past I have seen a decrease in the strength of the winds. It's been 29 years since the logging was done up there. It is possible that the re-planted trees could be harvested again in the next year. I have a feeling that we will be watching the roofs go flying again out here. As we drove back into the neighborhood today we noticed that several roofs had tarps on them. So the winds must have been gustier than I thought they were today.

I can't say Mr. H. is as smitten as your DH, but he finds the chickens more entertaining than he expected, and he's more interested in the eggs incubating than I expected as well. I'm guessing he'll find the chicks impossible to resist.

I love it when things rub off on them! lol

I may have said this before but my DH said no way!! no chickens!! they stink and poop on everything!!!! I said yeah yeah I know... He built me a chicken run the day I went to go get my chickens. Then he built me an indoor coop inside the shed the run was attached to. He did not want them to freeze. Then he got worried a coyote or dog would get them and brought me in a mini 14 rifle to protect them. Then he shot at the coyote twice himself to protect them. THEN he bought me an incubator so I could hatch eggs. He watched the whole thing with me and added water for me when I was away. Then he insisted I get my lone Serama his own wives when I borrowed a big rooster and broke his heart (thanks JBear!). Then he goes out and talks to them every day and checks to make sure they are ok. Then he started catching the shy or mean ones and petting them so they will be tamer. NOW he is making the indoor coop bigger and helping me make another pen for more chickens... he he he...

Do Turbo Tax on line thats what I do every year...

i have used Turbo Tax for years now. I don't think I have ever had any problems with it. It costs me 29.00 each year, but I know it would cost more to let someone else do them for me. I just got my return back today.

I finally got a bunch of little bills paid in full.

A lot of my problem was the cost, I have no insurance and am laid off, no way will you get a doc to do anything with no money. a colonoscopy is over 1000 dollars. (hospital here double billed me for mine, hospital and then the GI doc both charging me for the same thing) They can only go so far from either end lol. the colonoscopy will look and biopsy the lower gi tract. upper endo looks at stomach and that end. the cost of any of that is astronomical .... the drugs I am supposed to be on are 12 to 15 thousand a year... so for now I will take the 20 a month ones until they dont work anymore lol. regardless I hope she has none of the bad ones and its all good in the end for her!

All of you are "assimilating" your DHs well into the world of chickens. Fortunately, for me, my DH loves the birds and wants more...I am the one that has to put my foot down. I am the one that was having second thoughts about getting the incubator and he kept asking if I had ordered it yet or not. I am really hoping that the chicken raising (and who knows maybe even showing - is something me and dd can get into).
