You can always read it by going to "my posts" and the bottom of the index page and clicking the [New Posts] link under the thread, too.

There might be an easier way, though. I'll have to think about that...

Oh, I have it bookmarked. But I just dont understand how this happens. But thank you very much for the information on how to locate incase I lose it again.

I dont subscribe to this thread. lol My email would be overloaded if I did. I get messages all the time for every post thats made in each thread I am subscribed too...

The only threads I am actually subscribed too is the icelandic thread, and Ameraucana thread. I get about 20 notices in my email each day just from those two. lol

I only get one message that there is new mail and then if there is continual new...I do not get another until after I have visited the thread.

Ugg it feels like I have been up forever! Guess thats what happens when you wake up at 3:30 Am, and finish 2 jobs by 7AM... My nice comfy warm bed is beckoning me, saying its time for a quik nap... So I will be back on in a bit, but for now. I'm going back to bed.

I despise subscription emails and love easy links.

Thus my attempt at being helpful.

If you click and drag the [New Posts] link to your bookmarks, you can jump to the first page of new posts just by clicking the link. Hmm, I may have to use this idea on a thread or two... *Feels like a genius even though she knows that everyone has probably figured this out already*

I know, thats the only thing I don't like about subscribing. Billions of emails. I like how it says"this is the only notification you will receive" Ha, I wish! I now have this thread on my favorites bar at the top of my Explorer page. I renew it each time I leave so it's linked to the last page I read (if I remember).

Well that took forever!!! I finished reading through over 25 pages to get semi caught up on this thread. I normally check everyday but I've been busy with making birdhouses for a local nursery and then shopping for baby stuff to make a diaper cake for a baby shower which brings me to I cant make it to the show in Monroe because of said baby shower

. I cant be to mad cause I know that show was going to be trouble for the pocketbook but I did want to meet everyone thats going to be there. So please take pics and post them...My daughters were so looking forward to going to the chicken show, but their cousin is having her first baby. Her DH (in the Army) came back from Afganistan last August. He was in the thick of a mess there -we were all worried about him.But hes home and they are having a baby now.

Do you raise ducks in a residential area? I've been so tempted to get a few ducklings but I'm just not sure how they'd do in the city. Curious as to how they do
smile.png
Just thought I'd ask you since you seem like a duck enthusiast

Yes, I'm in a residential area, and there is not suppose to be any "farm animals" in our ROA...but we bought our house from the lady that was running the ROA. And she is LONG GONE!!

I house my 3 ducks in a duck tractor, like a chicken tractor, and roll it around the back yard. (ignore the dog crate..it was an extra nest for the winter)

My Indian runners are very quiet ducks from Holderreads Farm......the hatchery duck is another story...but still, they don't make any noise until I try to catch them. Then they yell apple sauce!!
They don't fly and will eat any creepy crawly near them...even the ones under ground.
They prefer to farrage for their own food, but I feed them breakfast.
I have a creek, but they only get a tubof water to play in. Lost one duck to the creek...no more.

The 2 in the back are Cumberland Blues and the one in front is penciled.
I also have one duckling, a fawn & white and hopefully some more coming soon.
I am hatching some babies if you are intersted. I also have some show quality duckling form the Holderread Farm coming in April.
Was going to craigs list most my the ducklings anyways.
Max is 6 for me.

Here is their new smaller house...partially complete. It is only 4 X 5 X 4 and can house up to 6 quacks cause they only sleep there at night.

Well, I'm doing a staggered hatch, so I have more bantam cochins due on 3/22!
big_smile.png
But not very many, I had put in 8 more eggs and I did candle those tonight and 3 of them were totally clear, so that's only 5 more.

I'm planning to wait until the show before I put more in. Never know if I'll find any goodies there!

Speaking of which, is anyone bringing chicks/hatching eggs to the show? Please let us know what you'll have so we can plan ahead!!
lol.png

I'm hatching some but doubt you'd want them for the show... they are mix buff orp over white leghorn
and if the hatch tonight a couple buff orp over RIR

My appenzeller spitzhauben should arrive tomorrow or the next day. She didn't have enough so she's sending some NN eggs. Do you want them? I've no desire for them.

There is a secret meeting in Redmond the Saturday after the show. We can meet you there.
