Do you still have them? or did you send them to summer camp??
You know, the first time I saw Muscovies, it seriously freaked me out.
I was at a river bank illegally feeding the ducks and along came a very scary scar faced duck that looked like a swimming turkey.
My son, who was 2 just laughed at it...me, I fell backward and almost landed on duck poo. Got it all over my hands.
I thought for sure I must have spotted a rare and exotic breed of never before seen bird from....Siberia or something, this is not a bird in my bird spotter's handbook.
So I called the local Audbon Society. They took 2 days to identify the darn bird as a domestic bird....a commonwater fowl.
But I tell you, it had a face that would scare any urban trick or treater. Very seriously lumpy and bumpy. I think it was someone's prized show quality bird though as I latr learned that the lumpy bumps are desirable.
But to this day, I look out for the Turkey Duck Monster of the Sammamish River.
I imagine it coming from behind me and cornering me for crumbs...forcing me to fall into the water!!
OK no more caffine for me.
