We temporarily diverted SOME of the water...however, any place the ground has been plowed, driven over or had the horses stomp down is still frozen solid. DH carved a water channel about 2' feet deep as best he could to divert the water away from our well, the hay stack, the tack shed and my chicken coop...he set his alarm to get up in a few hours and go to check it again.

The well casing is still filling up too which is not good.

I did however use this misfortune has an opportunity to bring up a suggestion...we need a POND to catch all of this excess water. We need a few channels to divert it to the far NE corner of our property! Of course, I'm thinking of my geese & ducks...and yes, saving everything else (my coop included) would in fact be awesome but a POND...a much needed, sweet bonus! Poor DH has another tooth abscessing and it's 35 degrees, pouring buckets of rain and he's out operating the backhoe while on Percocet. He comes into the house, soaking wet to the bone and the first thing I say to him when he walks in the door is that I think we need a pond (to divert the water you know?)

He actually agreed but I didn't mention the ducks or geese benefiting from it...I'll save that for later.

Oh and when I was in the shower tonight I was using the steam on the door to design my next set of runs off of my sniper tower coop. LOL I have decided to move one duck pen to the other side of the other existing one and use the space where the pen used to be as the left run on my newest coop. Then I'll make a pasture area for my geese, complete with a pond (I am hoping), green grass, a shelter and a tree or something. I think I can do a 25' x 25' pasture area with 6' tall galanvized fencing for about $100 (we have LOTS of t-posts already).

These quail are sure finicky.When I've hatched chicks they were on time and hatched at about the same time. So weird how one little guy hatches and hours later nobody else has

This ingredient is only added to shampoos in order to produce foaming. The ingredient causes baldness. I no longer use any shampoo with sodium laureth sulfate in it. My hair is so much healthier than it was.

So like I said, I have no clue what the "active" ingredient is.

maybe I can help decode those ingredients

first one is obvious, next three are detergents, propylene glycol (aka antifreeze) is a stabilizer, triclosan is an antimicrobial, allantoin makes skin smoother, the "saccharides" is a humectant (makes skin moist) as is sodium pca, polyquaternium makes hair lie flat, methylparaben is a preservative

Very interesting. I have always been interested in what is in things we use in everyday life.
