OK here is an update on the bells (mostly for those who ordered one). I was making pretty good progress and was pretty sure they would be ready to be delivered at the show. BUT took a big step backwards yesterday. See I had all of the "sails" (that hang on the bottom) cut out but when I started to polish them I discovered that the steel I had used had way too many imperfections in it.
While it wouldn't hurt anything and they are useable they would not be the quality I want to put out.
I got some different steel and then had to draw and cut them all again. Now working on polishing and finishing them. I am still working hard to have them all done to be delivered to the show.
I have 2 more bells to make and 3 more wall mount brackets to make. I may just paint the other sails and send them in case people are interested in them for decorations. Also I have 2 sails that are special request (Kim and 4312) and the rest I am just going to send and you can pick one you like. If for some reason somebody doesn't find one that they like just let me know what you want and I will make it and send it to you. I really am enjoying making these for you
it just makes a little challenging trying to do 7 in such a short time. And then to have things pop up like the bad steel. And since the weather is not the best I have been hanging them in front of the forge to warm them so the paint will cure well.
But I only have enough room to hang 2 by the forge, and last night I ran out of propane for the forge so will be getting more today.
I am really hoping things move along well enough that I have time to also make a "TUDY" to send.
I have a (what I think) very good plan for Tudy if I have time to get it done. SO right now I am shooting for all of the bells to be at the show EXCEPT Olliecatch (who I have talked to).
