don't forget to check how many clears you get... I'll be running a few more batches in the bator to check fertility again. Thinking the cockerels were not doing the jobs needed.

OK here is an update on the bells (mostly for those who ordered one). I was making pretty good progress and was pretty sure they would be ready to be delivered at the show. BUT took a big step backwards yesterday. See I had all of the "sails" (that hang on the bottom) cut out but when I started to polish them I discovered that the steel I had used had way too many imperfections in it.

While it wouldn't hurt anything and they are useable they would not be the quality I want to put out.

I got some different steel and then had to draw and cut them all again. Now working on polishing and finishing them. I am still working hard to have them all done to be delivered to the show.

I have 2 more bells to make and 3 more wall mount brackets to make. I may just paint the other sails and send them in case people are interested in them for decorations. Also I have 2 sails that are special request (Kim and 4312) and the rest I am just going to send and you can pick one you like. If for some reason somebody doesn't find one that they like just let me know what you want and I will make it and send it to you. I really am enjoying making these for you

it just makes a little challenging trying to do 7 in such a short time. And then to have things pop up like the bad steel. And since the weather is not the best I have been hanging them in front of the forge to warm them so the paint will cure well.

But I only have enough room to hang 2 by the forge, and last night I ran out of propane for the forge so will be getting more today.

I am really hoping things move along well enough that I have time to also make a "TUDY" to send.

I have a (what I think) very good plan for Tudy if I have time to get it done. SO right now I am shooting for all of the bells to be at the show EXCEPT Olliecatch (who I have talked to).

Well sounds like we have some wind out there. I just went out onto the back porch to spray clear on 2 sails that just came out of the oven and I could hear Kim's bell ringing. Since she requested a short bell (12") I have it hanging out so I can listen to the tone of it. It is a bit higher tone but still sounds nice. If I don't get some people that are willing to have bells made from the bottoms I am going to have a bunch of very nice deep tone bells here. That is not really a bad thing as I like to hear them. I actually have all of the bottoms standing up in the shed and just can't resist playing them (kind of like the church bells you hear). I may try posting a video I took of them on youtube.

Hey everyone! It's pouring rain here....and super dark. I'm not liking this daylight savings crap at all! When it's pouring rain and dark outside and 35 degrees it's hard to drag myself out of bed for a 9 hour work day. Not to mention I work up with a killer headache!

Anyone coming from the Amboy/Yacolt area to the show?

Anyone want to buy a sales cage from me? I bought four (one of the being a HUGE goose/duck sized one) and at this point only need three...because I sold my gander!

Anyway--

I'm off to work...if I can get the car out of this foot of mud, water and slush!
