Just popping in real quick to say hello! Mom's surgery yesterday went well, but she had a tough night. She called this morning and asked me to wait to come see her till this afternoon. She will stay in the hospital through tomorrow, and then barring any complications, she will get moved to a rehab place and stay there until they are secure in her ability to get around. So, need to research the rehab places as there are several options nearby.

Meanwhile on the home front, our hatch turned out well, 2 Seramas!!!

), and I know there are a couple of BLRW's for Tifsbroodybabes, not sure what the final count was though! That was as of last night, and most seemed to hatch late Sunday and yesterday, so not sure if there were any stragglers hatching last night or this morning. Won't find out till the kids get home from school. I'll be pestering them to send me some pics!!!

CGG, Monroe Farm and Feed has the plastic bandette's that are numbered, but they don't have the big sizes, I think they only have 9 and smaller. I had to order size 11 & 12 online for my LF Wyandottes and Orps as 9 was too small for them. I think I ordered them at Cutler's.

Chat with you all later!!!

Sour Cream is not supposed to have gluten! It is a dairy product. But, I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

I found SUSHI with wheat gluten thrown in it.

The wheat is in the soy sauce, and possibly the wasabi.
The powdered sugar is also bad, cause it has corn starch in it.

I can eat corn starch, it is the one thickener I can eat and use for gravies, and makes a great clear sauce for sweet N sour or to pour over (mix in water) to thicken chow mein & stir frys...can also have potato starch but it is not great for gravy.

Hi all. New family here from LaConner. 2 buffs, 1 leg, 1 Americauna... wanting to add some silkie chicks to the mix. Anyone know where to find them in Northwest WA? We are having a hard time wrapping our head around mail order chicks.. So if anyone has words for or against mail order chicks I welcome the input. PM's welcome. Thanks all.

Aaron and family

Good job on the video CR!!!
Makes me miss my big bell in California..it is bigger around and makes an even deeper gong type noise.
They all seems to have an effect to instantly relax me when I hear them...I love to hear them !!
BYW: we used different things as sails..on one we tied a big heavy abalone shell, it's cup shape worked great at capturing the wind..so maybe you can look around & see other things that would work, like 10" skill saw blades maybe ?
I will keep thinking on it..

How about the Society for the Preservation of the Pasty Butt Pickers ?? (SPPBP)
Or "The Society for the Preservation of Poultry Pasty Butt Pickers " ??
That is one thing I do not have, even though large, my fanny gets no pastry due to gluten factors, sometimes DH goes in the bakery & gets a doughnut, and I am afraid just all the wonderful dough nut smells will give me a rash !!
